What do you think is happening to my plants?

Thanks everyone! I've got a plan to fix this now.

1. Add hydroguard to reservoir to stop more root rot.
2. Add additional air stone(s), with stronger pump.
3. Learn about PPM's and make sure I'm not over feeding the plants.

I've got 40 days left until harvest so I'll make sure and post a picture if these girls ever recover.

Sounds like a good plan.
I have used rechillable ice packs to bring res temps down before. Taking out the old pack when it stops working and replacing it with a newly frozen one. Surprised me before how well it work with little expense. Spend a couple of days experimenting with the effects on res temp when you put them in but avoid getting below 68F. A thermostated water heater and chiller unit is ideal but a bit excessive for most of us at home. A bigger res also buffers temp changes better, just something to consider.
Monitoring PPMs is good, but frequent res changes with nutes at or just below recommendations will do the job just as well though. Using a meter helps confirm that you have made solution up correctly and can help you know when its time to dump and change. I generally dont recommend TDS titration during res cycles, ie, adding conc. nutes to res in small increments regularly to maintain a fixed TDS. This leads to feed imbalance and pH issues in smaller systems in my experience as plant uptake may differ from stock solution constituents. Just better to dump and run when TDS falls below 70-80% of normal, based on doing straight water top ups of res. Costs a bit more in nutes but prevents alot of issues until you become more comfortable with growing. Bigger recirculating systems frequently use auto nute titration via pumps or solenoids but require a fair bit fiddling to get right. Just my 2 cents worth on this issue. I still firmly believe that under-feeding is preferable to overfeeding for most indoor situations. Again just my humble opinion.
best of luck with the plan, would love to see those photos.
Cheers.

Thanks!

Thanks!

The plants recovered nicely after I added hydroguard. Just harvested - thanks everyone for the advice

Man I wouldn't smoke that but that's me. Looks harsh to say the least. Next time try adding Great White to the rez from day 1, adding a scoop every time you do a complete rez change. And you can't really have too much air. I'm surprised that your roots didn't turn into a slimy mess and fall off, makes me think they're more stained by your nutrients than anything, as they have hairs. Pithium attacks the hairs first making the outside slide off like the limb of a poor victim of napalm in Nam.

nice harvest, way to turn it around. i guess those roots look that color because of the hydrogaurd cuz that does look like some jacked up roots lol.

thats a pretty good haul for a small cabinet like that, can't wait to see your smoke report, those leaves got a nice face before you chopped.

Thanks - Yeah i'm stoked 2.66oz out of two tiny plants. I am curing them now in a big mason jar - how long until they develop a better smell? Right now they are a little like fresh cut grass

Nice harvest.

But if you chopped two days ago your buds are likely not ready to jar.
