What can I do to keep ants away?

Oranges liquified in the blender and poured around the area works wonders! It kills the queen and smells great!

WHOLE? Some reason, I'm very suspicious. Don't oranges have a lot of sugar and Vitamin C? There is protein in the rind and oil in the skin. Which part does the damage?

I've got some "food-safe" stuff in my garage that kills aphids. I should take some of that out with me, along with some tanglefoot and some diatomaceous earth.
Is there some reason you don't want to use the tanglefoot directly on the plant?

Ants love aphids, and will carry them INTO your garden so the aphids can feast on your plants and the ants can live off their honeydew. bad mojo! I second the borax/sugar solution, works very very well and is damn near free.

With Ants it is often a good choice to find other plants they like and plant those nearby. Marijuana isnt exactly high on the Ants' list.
