what Cali Connect strains have you grown?

Agreed, don't be put off by the overwhelmingly amount of bad reports when there's still a small chance of finding something good. Who cares about spending 4 months on a crapshoot when there are more reputable and reliable options to fid fire?

While I respect your right to your opinion, I'd appreciate if we can keep this thread to actual grow reports, preferably firsthand ones. Let's try and avoid turning this thread to shit like other CC ones and again nothing wrong with posting your negative grow reports. Just want to keep it factual here. :tiphat:

If you want anecdotes of actual grows I've had friends grow Chem Valley Kush, SFV, Blackwater, Deadhead & Tahoe. The Tahoe hermed, the SFV started autoflowering 4 weeks into veg plus 1/2 of them hermed in flower, the Blackwater was a weak purple with little taste and the Chem Valley Kush had a good yield and looked great but the quality was lacking. Of the 5 strains only the Deadhead was worth growing again but he has since culled it for other options.

Granted this was all 3-5 years ago but every report I've seen since has shown that while the auto-flowering trait has for the most part been taken care of the chances of hermaphrodites are still much higher than normal and the customer service has remained bad as ever.

IMHO if you're looking for the current "California style" of genetics your best options are looking into offerings from Bodhi, Loompa & Oregon's Archive. All 3 are consistently putting out gear I'm jealous of and long to have.

EC your opinion has been noted as it always is in every CC thread. Again let's get back to FIRSTHAND grow reports and find out which of his strains are duds and to be avoided and which hold the gems.

This is the clincher though. I honestly don't understand how any self-respecting grower could put money into the pockets of someone who publicly outed a fellow grower. That's pretty much the only universal rule we have.

my universal rule is to have the dankest og in the valley, thanks to calicon's seeds I do. I couldn't care less what people say about swerve, it doesn't make my shit any less impressive than it already is. yeah ECtraveler, I know more people that can't grow verses can grow so what's your point. I think you and your friends should focus more on what you're doing wrong verses coming around here hate'n on people that like what they're getting from CC seeds. not trying to start shit but wtf?

You're right, my posts were exactly what you specifically asked to avoid and for that I'm sincerely sorry. I will refrain from posting in your thread further but in my defense the grows were from friends I know IRL and regard as world class growers. Also from personal experience the first question asked with Tahoe flowers is "This isn't CC is it?"... but I do know (2nd hand) their Buddha is better.

If you're gonna bust balls then why pick EC? MJP mentioned dude opening his mouth too wide.

:stfu:

Putting someone on blast is lame- I'm glad I know what happened now

Aside from that I heard Deadhead O.G. produces really well

The Deadhead does produce really well. Mine makes big fat cola's the size of 16 oz. Red Bull cans. Super bushy plant. needs to be tied, staked, scrogged or the branches will bend right down to the ground. I had a couple plants outdoors that gave 1lb a piece, prolly a little more. It was the first plant out of 100 or so seeds from various breeders that made me say, "holy fuck" the first run. It was so caked up, I knew I had a winner.

The budda Tahoe gets very good reports, I'd says its one of his top 3 strains. I just read a 20 page thread about it on another site where everyone who grew it said it was great or best they ever grew. I do believe 1 said they didn't find a keeper and another 1-2 did find a hermy. I currently have 3 going right now, no hermies, 3 different phenos though. I'll try and get some pics up.

thxz smokeyla ... that's kinda what I thought just having seen comments on it over the years. I'm going to take a shot when I get the space open in the next few months. Yeh, would love to see your phenos .... and tell us what you get when you finish!

and last is the most sativa plant, in group shot its the one on right, had to do some tying down and bent the tallest branch down. This one smells of sweet lemons. These are all at 54 days 12/12 so I think i'll let them go to 70

I agree, lets keep this thread to first hand grow reports only. If you haven't personally grown it, don't hate on it! We don't need personnel, biased opinions, just plain facts about the beans and resulting herb.

I definitely found a keeper out of the Blackwater, but must admit it leans more to the OG side than the purps. The real purple phenols produced a smaller, less potent plant. We grew out 250 Blackwaters in 2014. Just Love it.

I also liked the Deadhead we grew and have subsequently produced our own beans for it as well, but as a commercial cropper it did not produce as much as we would have liked. The Blackwater produced a much higher outdoor yield but again only in the ones that leaned towards the greener OG side. The resulting purples were a smaller plant and had smaller colas.

I have grown a couple strains from CC. I never got a chance to pop any seeds but always got gifted selected phenos friends found threw seed pheno hunting. In order..
Deadhead og
corleone kush
818 headband
blackwater
The dh og was the only one im unsure of if its CC. It had a lemon fuel smell an produced big colas nice producer. ck was by far my fav out of his gear had orange bubba fuel taste an smell just straight kill mad i lost her! The 818 a buddy of mines bought the seeds an dedicated his room to one pheno he kept. it was dank but it herms on ocassion so i let her go had sour d taste an smell not to loud! last is bw which i am about to crop an i must have this og pheno becuz she is stacking hard purple hues an has putrid lemon stank fuel smell! i cant wait to test her! All an all i wouldnt buy seeds from CC for the fact theres alot of other reps with higher feedback but i wouldn't pass a cut from another who's done the work ! :)

Grew just a couple freebies:

Green Crack (f), which was better than I expected. I sort of neglected it and didn't clone it but it was probably "clone worthy", at least for another round or two.

2 GSC (r), grew fine, but both turned out male.

I haven't purchased any of his seeds due to my observations of his online demeanor, but the plants I did grow of his were just fine.

And that's all I have on that. :)

my cc buddha tahaoe reg was very afghan like strain and give me very resinous buds.

the high is a strong trance indica high. total body load and not psychedelic. not for the day smoke.

I cross it with peyote purple, neville haze and durganchitral. it's on the way

Sounds like my first pheno I put pics up above, how does the peyote purple breed? I've been thinking of picking some seeds up for crossing. Thinking a pp x OG cross could be killer, producing purple og nugs, shortening the viney of growth as well. Also hear males are hard to come by.
