its northern lights from sensi seeds bought in 1990 from sensi coffeshop in rotterdam ,,,i'd have been exstatic if it was nl5xhaze ,as i preffered it ,,but getting back in touch with this old friend after so many years makes up for it

1990!? That will be nl#5 won't it?

"NO...it's northern lights "

Were Sensi seeds running both NL and NL5 in the early 90,s?
NL#5x haze is still sold today (unstable I hear) Or was a few yrs ago but no chance of #5

NL5 was one of the clones Nevil brought/was sent from the US. Northern lights was the seeds they made from crossing the clones AFAIK.

EDIT

What jaded said below me sounds more correct.

From what ive read, nevil was given 3 diff seed nl's,nl1,2 and 5.The nl5 line only produced 1 female that was worthy and no worthy males.I think the only decent males came from the nl1 line,so the seedlines that were sold were all crosses to that

When I first got the NL varieties, there were 8 types, 1-8.
They came with descriptions, which I published in my catalogue...

NL1 and NL2 stabilised into distinct types and NL5 only produced one unique individual...

NL1 was a full blood Afghan indica. One thick main stem, dark green leaves, modest yield with nuggety buds, a little coarse with good resin production, which when ripe went golden. The high was narcotic...NL1 was the only good pure Afghani male line I had.( there was Sams Afghani#1, but that was toxic in a bad way) The NL2 was a Kush.

I put the NL1 out there as a pure strain. I wasn't popular. People would tell me, "give me the pure strains", but if it cost them 10% of their yield they would complain, well try 50%....

I expect that a lot of people holding what they believe to be pure indicas today, would find, if the truth be known, that the sire line traces back to NL1.

N.

Nev got the NL lines in seed form and selected his NL5 mother. He never bred NL5 pure but made hybrids.

Probably NL1 IBL then hazy? You lucky bugger! Must be special if it''s been kept that long!

Peace
