Went from the Buddy Guy/PfC cut above, until a while later, the same Buddy Guy tune popped up, but from a live show in New Buffalo Michigan, 2017.

He tells the story of the tune, which I had never heard before, along with his telling of another story or 2.

Anyway, our drummer, when we were young, dope-dealing, pot-smoking, wannabe musicians, was a major fan of Buddy Guy's from WAY back, and still is. It occurred to me while I was listening to Mr. Guy tell his stories and play this particular version, that it's very possible, and maybe even likely, that our drummer, Mark, my former friend, was sitting in this show, considering the esteem Buddy Guy holds for him.

Anyway, the new-to-me version of Buddy Guy's 'Skin Deep'. Buddy Guy is one of a number of performers/artists that conveys his love and demeanor in his face, tone, words, and guitar. What an amazing man!!!

A bit different harmony on this one, and the beautiful amazing Playing for Change woman with the ukulele in Chicago, whose voice soars like ... I don't even know what, isn't in this, but it's beautiful in its own right.

Just this guy, ya know?
RIP MF Doom. Listening to some old KMD in honor.

I got it: My tool, my utensil
To draw lead in that ass like a pencil with a stencil
And let me see them kids who had beef in the summer
And they mugs, all look like Helen Keller but dumber
Ain't that a bummer? I'll take you out your misery
I be the mad bluff caller like, caller ID motherfucker!

Tedeschi-Trucks Band, Live at Red Rocks, July 29, 2018

Special appearances by the impressive Marcus King, and a couple of the members of the Drive-by Truckers after the 1.5 hour mark.

Drive-by Truckers come on after Marcus King, and they do Neil Young's 'Rockin' in the Free World' in an especially grunge-like electric cover version.

Parties we've missed, but I wish we'd been at ....
