I was fortunate to have seen him play live 3 time's before he died.

Hands down, the best guitar player I have ever seen.

I wonder what happened to this man. This is one of his greatest hits and it seems like it is also the last.

Blistering live version of the Santana classic, Soul Sacrifice. A drummers/percussionists dream! Michael Shrieve was the original drummer with Santana, at the age of (just turned) 20 (born July 6, 1949) and was the youngest performer at Woodstock. Carlos himself was only 22 at the time of this legendary event.

For those of you who don't know the story behind this, the entire band was ripped out of their minds on LSD when they came on stage. Somebody had spiked a punch bowl back stage, that the band had drank from..... :dance013:

Santana revealed in an interview years later, that the neck of his guitar while playing felt like a snake that was wiggling and trying to get away.

TV Talk shows didn't know how to respond to an intellectual head. lol.

Frank was a trailblazer. You should have seen me trying to coax his sound out of my $35 Kent guitar and my screaming 35 watt amp. I even busted a speaker on purpose to get some distortion out of it. I was the envy of the basement band. lol
