Has anyone tried New Amsterdam gin? I've been reading reviews and people have said it compares to other brands which are twice as expensive.

I know that their vodka gives bad hangovers.

Not into gin myself so I haven't tried their gin.

I am considering opening a homemade kombucha.

Chardonnay from Burgundy from the Cote d’or region from the sub region of Saint Aubin. I love white burgundy so much. Crazy flavors of tart and ripe meyer lemon, gunflint and earthy limestone minerally stuff. A touch of wood leaves some vanilla and a creamy note.

Its very smooth and had sort of a citrus/lime backend. It would be great for cocktails, but I did not care for it on its own; didn't really taste like gin to me. Been a while so I went and checked a review and they mentioned a distinct lack of juniper, that made sense with my recollection of it just tasting like lime vodka.

Edit: reviews all describe it as orange citrus being the forward flavor, seemed like lime to me but my memory could be hazy.

Gold tequila of decent sort, with trickle of lemon (out of lime juice/extract). 4:47 A.M. and still watching the clock tick. Figured Jose' might be able to help, on top of the 5 tokes of hash, and the gram+ of decarbed Satori I ate..... But Jose' may end up being the hero, after all.

Thats a deal breaker for me. A strong juniper flavor is a must. I found some Tanqueray on sale, so that'll have to do

New Amsterdam now has a "London Dry" version on their gin, which is a little better, but still doesn't hit the mark. I've since settled on Bombay Original. Can't really tell the difference between it and Sapphire when mixed into a cocktail.

I'm drinking Mead. It's been aging about a month. It's not bad, but I'm going to give it a few more months to smooth out a little more. It's at least 15% alcohol content, maybe a bit more. I didn't take a hygrometer reading, but based on the amount of honey I'm guessing 15%.
