Fuckin I'll just put it out there. We are not going to stop until Freedom is blessed and there are no more weapons in the world. This is never going to happen. It's JFK's idea....wonder why his mind got blown out

I'll be goddamned if I'm gonna buy a 9$ tallboy that taste like somebody just pissed in a cup

It's $2 a 16 oz can. They do charge close to $9 for a pint at a pub though which is why I stopped going out and just buy beer at the store. I'm not paying 4X as much for the privilege of drinking in a room full of sticky tables surrounded by strangers trying to be seen at the latest hot spot in town.

It's the rain. Rain is responsible for the local preference for burnt coffee, too.

Lol

Regional preferences. I've noticed quite a few in my travels across the states. Some good and some not so good. I remember being in Covington LA and the ladies at the office I was upgrading took me to lunch. They said I was going to love the "Sweet Tea.". Well I didn't and couldn't believe that anyone could.

They're used to it. Which is why I can understand why some don't like heavily hopped beers or burnt coffee. But we're used to it here and love it. I don't drink coffee anymore but I used to. Still drink the IPA's though and the more hoppy the better.

I miss taking 20 bucks to the bar and getting some wings and enough draft beers to get a lift. Those days are gone. Charged me 8 bucks for a pint of Guinness last time out. Did I break a window on the way in?? Damn.

Just got a 12 pack of Guinness for 20 bucks. That's more like it.

Cheers!

Inflation is how rich people give wage earners a pay cut without having a revolution.

I was just teasing you and the PNW a bit! That said, I really do think local conditions have an influence on "regional preference" as you put it. I think of it as the consumption side of terroir.

Beer from the store is usually fresher and better quality than much of the on-tap offerings.

The production is controlled. Many people don't understand how when beer is coming from a keg to a tap the distance it travels can vary. The keg could be 30 ft from the tap. That means there is a bunch of beer sitting in the line. It's been released from the keg and could be sitting there for a long time.

Beer from cans and bottles is often fresher than the beer you get from a pub. If you're the first person to get a beer after an establishment has opened then you're getting beer that's been sitting in lines from tap to keg for hours.
