well, thanx jaykush, but warm water might be a shock to the girls, lol . . . . I do draw my pure water a few days in advance so it's room temp & not too cold
I think if I had a real prob I would go with a propagation mat. But for now I think their feet are warm & snuggly,
Ya foam board rocks... haven't needed no "heat" this year got the pots about 6-8 inches off the floor now also. 5G Bucket inside a 6G bucket with lots of air holes drilled into both.
A cheap way I used a few years ago was wooden pallets with the containers on them and a fan to circulate the ambient room temp air. If your air temp is in the 70's and you have good air flow the container temp will stay about the same. Even where I live the temps are always high I still keep my plants of the cooler concrete floor.
for those who "must" warm with electric (flat out cold room or whatever) those Xmas lights inside a rubber tube (rope lights) work good coiled around the pot. They are water proof (Outdoor rated) and the rope helps keep the heat distributed a little better but not perfectly by any means. I've used this method very successfully with ambient 40'sF. for the room. They also connect end to end for larger pots as well.
The way I did it was:
Coil the ropelight around the pot.
Set this into a larger pot or container.
Backfill with sand around the rope light.
The sand also works nicely for even distribution of heat.
