What are these little red things??

Wish I had pics. But I don't do that. Anyhow, It are these little red egg-like "things" that are on the stems of these plants. They seem to leave a bruise where they're attached to. There aren't any pests in the garden just these "things"!! Can't seem to diagnose them. The part that bothers me is they leave a bruise like mark on the stem. So I know they are something!!

Any Ideas???

Soil growing.

Sound like Starship Troopers time...
"Kill 'em, kill 'em all"
"The only good bug is a dead bug"
Even if it's a fungus or mold...

JJ, yes they are!!

Jackson. I have to identify what I am working with first. Doesn't seem to do any 'noticeable' damage!!

find out what they were, not are... In my book

Hard to tell without a photo, sound like a bug. I would treat like a bug first, then a fungus if the bug kill didn't work. May not be damaging now, but it don't sound like a good thing, better to kick it's ass now, 'cuss it might be harder later... Rub the area with some alcohol/soap on a Q-tip, wait a minute, then spray with water. That sould kill about anything.

I think you have a case of spider mites. Look closely near the base of the plant and you should see some webbing. You need to get a no pest strip, neem oil or something else to get rid of them....

Nope not mites!!! These are red egg-like "things". No webs, dots, etc... i know mites and most other pests too. But this one has me baffled. The things are only on the stems, and don't move.
