Thanks Relik, I guess it's been awhile since I've been to OFC looks like I've missed a lot. I'll be adding it to my list. really looking forward to Subys info. That is where I got my basic mix from back when I was a lurker. Just didn't use blood - bone meal. Ash instead and less Dolimite.

Yes I found at list you had posted back when I first got started on this kick and was glad to see you share it with everyone.

Like a year ago while back home I was talking to my dad about gardening and he said "Damn boy, I thought you were some sorta hippy or something and then you go and poision your God with that crap in a can. I'm even smarter then that you dumb ass". Makes ya kinda think....

I am using my own worm castings and the worms eat well. And why buy something that your already throwing away every day. The ashes that I'm using are from lemon and orange skins that my worms don't seem to like and if you read here it's like throwing away gold. The only down fall I see is I get a lemon pie every month. This is food we allready eat in our house why be wastefull? making ashes is easy old cake pan, propane torch and three four minutes ashes. in the summer we eat a lot of cukes to much in the bin make it to wet so they were just getting chucked or feed to the dog (he love them).

ok just trying to help do what you like. good luck

No hate... I just don't like being wastefull. I don't like throwing anything away that has a use. My ballasts, fan were from dumpster diving. the ballasts were unused the owners replaced them with Flo's before power was even hooked up to the building. Everybody at work got some that day what a deal. the fan came from a air handler same deal, damaged in storage and they took pictures and just chucked it. I asked I could strip it they said go for it. We Americans are so wastefull.

oh i know.. believe me.. i buy stuff from estate sales etc and get some great deals. trust me i grew up in pine barrens but embrace what i learned. My father composted way before it became fashionable and we harvested alots of things from the woods game and other wise. I had rabbit snares when i was 12 years old which i would check before school.

I just reread this and I might have left something out The mom was over two years old when restarted her from a cutting. Could she just be dieing of old age? How long do moms live I've read years but have seen no real timetable about this. Could that explain the SLOW degrade in overall looks?

YUM Rabbit dumplings or stew. And squirrel gravy over rice. Now that's some good vittles for sure.

We're having deer burger chili for dinner tonight.

Plants dont die of old age...I would bet the slow degrade over time has to do with your feeding regimen. I know some folks that have had mothers going for a number of year and still give fine clones. Why not take one trip into town and get everything you need? Good luck!

I guess I need to tell everyone about myself before they understand...

I live on a very small income. Me and my wife both work 16 hours a week for not much more then $7.50 an hour. Yes we could get full time jobs and half lots more money but would that any better? We have four days a week just for us and our kids no money can do that.

Sure I have the internet, but for that I have no cable TV, none of extras on my phone not even long distince. One car, 1987 good on gas used for work and one trip a week to the store anything else walk. Do I want you to feel sorry for me NO I say "I feel sorry for you". Money is not everything and I seem to be doing well with out it. Me and mine are happier than everbefore we have so much more time for just us.

We bought our house 12 years ago for cash, NO morgage and thank you but I don't what one. We had saved every penny we could for 14 years and looked for what we could afford not what was better then the Jones. Just out side city limits small lot 2 beds one bath. Yes the boys didn't like not having there own room but they lived and are fine now out on there own.

I believe every extra dollar we spend \ make just supports our goverment to which I do not. If I made more money I'd have to pay more income tax, last year I payed less then $50.00. We have never owned a credit card \ bank card never will.

I buy things used not new just to avoid sales tax when I can. I grow \ kill \ harvest as much food I can or buy it from a farmer very little for the store. When I do buy from the store I try to buy what ever i something that can be reused jars, tins not a box.

I have only bought four bulbs and two timers in the last two years (all replacements of free stuff) and every thing else was free. If I whould had to have bought my set up it wouldn't even be there.

My father and his father both grew big gardens lots of food and they never bought anything other then gas for the tiller and seeds sometimes. So why can't I grow a WEED with out buying anything, this just don't seem right on so many levels. I'm not tring to flame anyone, you can spend your money anyway you see fit.

I was not criticizing your choices...My apologies if it came off that way. I was just making the point of picking up everything you needed on one of your weekly trips into town. Good Luck to you and your family.

I should have said in the canabis forum

We are talking Canabis right?

Yes it's a plant but it's a little differen plant.

Ya gotta learn to grow FIRST and without some decent tools - it's going to be a long, long time till you get a harvest.

Yeah ash is ok - remember when they used to burn fields to clear them? Dosen't work very LONG does it

MUCH better choices these days

was your dad growing reefer?

And bubba,,
- I know some pretty fair gardeners and farmers -
they cant grow weed for shit.

And I can't grow anything but

seriously

if what your doing ain't worken - - it might pay to change tatics, because your an idiot if you expect to get better results using the same tatics.

What's the point here does reefer only feed on store bought NPK? If not what I'm been tring to find out is what should my NPK should be you know like 420/420/420 or try cutting down on the K and add more P.

It's not just N P K

it's critters in the soil it's water and soil ph

It's learning how to grow - which you dont know

It's like buying books - once you learn it - you probably don't need the book anymore.

Once you get to a harvest, the next one will be easier - if you learn summtin and pay attention.

not likely is it?
