I'm passin by with a treat!

It's about time we had some extensive smoke reports about Core's strains!
I was gifted 3 strains Crash Test , Pollen Chuck and Mongrul. I do not have a report for the mongrul yet because of the fact I had 7/7 males. Still Have 3 seeds left so maybe sooner or later I'll try them out.
I'm really happy I got these strains and consider myself very lucky. I had never had such quality genes in my previous grows, mostly because of the fact I only grew nirvana en bagseed before that lol.


Well let's start off with the Crash Test which is my personal favourite of the bunch. It's a cross between Soma's Amnesia Haze and Peewee, which is a cross of Purple Bastard & White Widow. I'm pretty sure the Amnesia is not the same version as the ones I'm used to smoking (Soma changed the recipe a few times) but I like it really much nevertheless.
Out of 5 seeds I got 3 nice phenotypes. Trying to be original I named them A, B and C. B hasn't been harvested yet so you'll get that report later.

Crash Test A

This pheno was a bit indica leaning though it still had some sativa features. Very dense buds and a strong odour in flower and in veg. Very beautiful plant and really frosty.

Appearance: The buds itself have a very nice caly to leaf ratio and are as I said pretty dense with some browninsh and orange hues. Big brown and orange hairs and nicely swollen calyxes. The resin production is excellent and pretty concentrated on the flowers. The trichomes are pretty large as well compared to other strains. Looks great!

Smell: The smell is really interesting. There's a fruity part which reminds me of mangos and pineapples. There's also this hint of ammonia in the ripe buds. These two features I think come mostly from the Amnesia. Then there's also a widow like kind of thing to it whic his hard to describe. The smell really develops during flower and cure.

Taste: The taste is mostly like the smell. A bit fruity and amnesia like with widow undertones. Very tasty and the amount of trichomes really makes it strong tasting.

Smoke: The smoke at first is a little hard on the throat when exhaling. But only right after drying. This really fades away with curing. It's not a light smoke it feels pretty concentrated.

Potency: The potency of the buds at 70 days is very nice. But left to 80 days I think it could be pretty devestating 7.5/10.

High: To say the least. This one really smacks you in the face. After a few tokes you allready feel it rushing up to your head with great speed. The effects are pretty hazy, definetely not clear and somewhat balanced. It's a little bit couchlocky though really psychedelic and can make your heart beat pretty fast sometimes. IMO this is one of the best strains for smoking and eating during psychedelic sessions. There was one downpart which I menitioned earlier in core thread which was the duration of the high. After a cure and a bit more flowering time I didn't notice this any more and find that it at least an average duration. About 1.5 to 2hours.

Overall Score: 8.5/10 Well I really really like this strain and especially this pheno. It's good yielding, not hard to grow, tastes fantastic and has a great high. Great job Core, this strain is completely to my likings and will remain in my closet for a while.

The pictures were taken right after drying so the buds aren't cured yet in the pics. I forgot about taking pics after cure but will do it next time.

Crash Test C

This pheno was lower yielding though looked even more frosty then the A pheno. But because of a little screw up the plant wasn't healty enough to really beat the A pheno in potency I think. This one hasn't been cured yet so the report now will only be on the uncured product.

Appearance: The buds are a little less compact then pheno A but still okay. The amount of resin is great but I'm sure it can be better. The hairs on this one are a little redder then pheno A.

Smell: The smell on this pheno did not have any fruity aspects to it. The main thing was this haze like smell together with something musky which reminds me of some afghani. I like this smell and with some cure I'm sure it will even be a lot better.

Taste: The taste is also hazy and a bit musky.

Smoke: Pretty much the same as pheno A. Even a little less harsh on the throat.

Potency: 7/10 I expected a bit more on this plant but I'm sure this was due to a grower error and will improve next time.

High: The high again is pretty much the same as pheno A. It's a little bit headier and seems like it could take a lil longer.

Overall score: 7.5/10 Well this strain would have gotten 8.5/10 if it would have been grown as properly as pheno A. Also it is not cured so the high taste and smoke aren't optimal yet.

Pollen Chuck A

The Pollen Chuck is a cross between Sour Diesel and Peewee. I was keen to trying this since I had never smoked anything dieselish before. Again this is a report on the uncured product.

Appearance: The buds on this plant were big but a lot fluffier then let's say the crash test. A bud about the same size came out only a little more then half in weight compared to CT. The frost is very good and surpised me because it didn't look as good on the plant as is does dried.

Smell: The smell of the pollen chuck I find somewhat hard to describe as it doesn't smell like anything which I can compare it to. In flower the smell was really fresh and lemony and dried it gets a more sour, allmost soapy smell.

Taste: The taste is pretty herbal but nothing too special really I find.

Smoke: This smoke is lighter then the CT and less harsh.

Potency: 7/10 The potency is nice, but not really comparable to the CT.

High: This one has an interesting high. It comes on reasonably slow compared to CT which is a good thing for smoking during the day. It's a bit more mellow too and really nice to relax with.

Overall Score: 7/10 This is a nice smoke though it is not what I expected it to be. If I'm able to find a better pheno this could easely go up to 8.
