Hello everyone!
I have been reading in the breaders forum about some 1970's seed that have been liberated from long term storage.

http://www.icmag.com/ic/showthread.php?t=

It got me thinking.
I would like to grow some crops of old Calif./Ore. genetics.
The sweet piney kind

I say old.
Maybe in the 70's?
I'm 46 so my point of referance starts about there.
Are the currently advertized Ca/Ore genetics comparable?

The last real grow i did was on the back 40 of an Avacado farm in San Diego County.
Ahh the memories!!!
For the life of me, I can't remember the kind it all was back then.
They were just seeds!
Ha,Ha
anyway,
Can yaall help me remember?

By the way, I'm not interested in mixing up strains here.
Pine trees are pretty all by thier selves!!

Any bud from california is by far the best there is. Cali has the best climate for the outdoor grow. Good luck to you and I hope it works out.

Thank's for the replies everyone!
Ive been doing some reading, and talking to old friends since my last post.
Were talkin about 1976-1978.
The Paraquat era
We called it sins or red bud.

The discriptions of trainwreck sound right, kinda...
A post on another website suggests a whohacan background.
Wasnt it the oxacan that was sprayed

I do remember we dug 24"x24"x24" holes
We got 2 crops a year
And ya had to go back and tie the branches up, to keep them from breaking.

There was also something called meschmican that was VERY trippy about then.
Are yall familiar with it?

It could have been doped.
There was lots of fresh chemicals then.

Anyways, this is a long term pet project I would like to work out.
Thanks for lookin

I'm 45...

I'm 45...

And I remember those 1st nugs of "sinsemillia" we called them, or sinse... like you say... they were piney tasting too... I remember one "cat" said they came from the Fallbrook area of San Deigo... maybe it was you, and the 40 acre's... another said between Orange tree's... wich is certainly possible... one said buds from up North Calif... And I remember them being foxtail buds... (Sativa structure)... and they were good tasting for sure... the only strain I've heard about is pinebud... but I doubt it the same, but don't know where to get it either... to grow it and see... anyways it had a loose structure kinda, depending... and we also called it x-mas tree weed... but that was almost 28 years ago... great times... if you find it please PM me so I can hopefully check it out in pic's or something, I still to this day beleive it was nothing more than good Mexican / Colombian or Thai in nature... as that was what seeds were available back then, for the most part... :chin: ... and the "Meshmacon" was just bastardized spelling- volcabulary of Michuacan, from Mexico... even Cheech said it one one of their albums... It's Michuacan man... peace.
