I have a friend who arested in 1979 in Dundalk ......he had only seeds on his person as he knew that someone was following him...so he was stopped and Arested..
He was read his rights at the station and told that Proceedings would be launched and he was charged with possesion of Hemp seeds...

He went home to A/Dam were he stayed before moving to Morrocco.....

we where Baffled at this claim also!

Seeds cant be illegal, cannabiz sell them over the counter in temple bar.
When I was first in there over a year ago I bought some seeds & I asked the bloke did they sell books on growing, he said the drug squad came in & made him take the books down but he found a loophole in the law so he was able to put them back up, he said there was fuck all they could do about him selling seeds as they arent illegal.
I think as soon as you germinate them thats when they are illegal, I could be wrong though.
