BorisTheBlaze : Its the door for the fourth dimension!! haha seriously now , it must be reflection or refractions and the combination of the internal structure shows this effect ? Whatever it is haha it really looks weird . I asked myself the same question when I looked through the viewfinder to take the shot.

Btw this is my setup and it goes like this

camera -> teleconverter 2x -> extension tubes -> (1:1) macro lens

here it is:

just a regular "tungsten" bulb or sun. Tungsten bulbs are the most common bulbs available. No flash used . These shots are from cured dry buds .

A flash would never illuminate a bud so close to the lens with that extension right? Ever thought about using an in-ring flash? Not that you need it. Those shots are gorgeous.

l33t....good job on the macros..I've been shooting some as well but with camera-tele converter-closeup x1 lens on a 1:2.3macro lens...you are getting closer...it's those extension tubes I don't have. Again...great job..Dr. Duck.

holy shite! I've seen some amazing macros before but these are over the top. Really cool - awesome for checking ripeness too.
