Another thing on the dog analogy that is maybe appropriate, big, bold looking, fighting dogs look impressive and are often picked because they look so big and bad, but almost always the smaller fighting dog will win due to longer staying power.

Excellent point on the trust thing GM really that's all it boils down to. If you trust that things are cool here then fine, you go on with your business which if you are smart and security conscious has nothing to do with who is running this site. If you don't then you go somewhere else that you feel comfortable with. That's it.

Excellent move IMHO, you never know which way the political winds will blow from one day to the next. Best to keep things as seperated as possible. That way if one thing falls not everything need fall with it.

I am not sure if those words to JJJ were necessary. PG gave everyone here a home for a while that wanted one and never badmouthed IC that I heard of. H e nor Prawn are POM and I can vouch for that. They were hospitible to everyone that came there knowing the majority would leave when IC opened again. I for one thank them for giving everyone a place to try and get some info.......I can see where everyone here would be upset that they let Pom go as far as they did but you cant preach free speech and then not allow it. He was eventually banned. I am all for the part of trying to get along and use this as a way to forgive and get back together again...

All this did expose me to the other sites, which was a good thing. There is good in all the sites, you just have to look for it.

I know exactly how you feel there, that was the same experience I had more or less. When OG was around it took care of all my needs so when I heard negative things about other sites I just thought, "Eh doesn't matter to me I don't go there and now I'm glad I don't.

Then OG went down and I came here. Afterall, I was doing a test grow for Gypsy, so it seemed like the logical thing to do. But then suddenly there was all this hatred. OGer's hating ICers and vice versa. Some hating PG and some at PG hating OG and IC. So I went to check things out for myself since the rumors I heard at OG about IC weren't true then there was a good chance what I heard about PG was also untrue.

So I went to PG and found that most of what I had heard about that place was not true. Now in each case, OG, IC and PG and likely CW too, (although I never got a chance to go there), while the rumors were not true there were individuals who did reflect what the rumors said. In any group of more then a handfull of people there is likely to be a few bad apples. All of these sites in and of themselves are neither good nor bad, they are just places for people to share info, exchange views and ideas. The quality of that content though is primarily the result of it's members. If you go to any of these sites there is tons of great and useful info if you look for it just as there is lots of worthless bullshit. I think the problem with all these sites is people come to them and they get hung up on something they don't like and then that shapes their whole view of the site and it's membership. Preventing them from seeing the good.

I really don't understand this attitude against PG from many IC members. Especially since a great many here are members there under different handles and have been so since long before IC went down. I guess they think people aren't aware of this?

The way I see it, if we as a community can learn to embrace the good in all these sites and learn to ignore the bad, then maybe this whole business starting from the fall of OG till now can not be a total loss.

Great to see IC mag back up in cyber land and all the familliar cyber friends(some of whom I can actually put a face too) as well. Hope you are all happy healthy and having fun and that the organic nutrient has finally stopped hitting the rotating cooling device
