yea theres a handful of people here who are aware of don duncan and the ASA....it is pretty shitty which is one reason i dont patronize harborside anymore. i doubt they are going to touch on their plans for eventual market monopolization but in the meantime i do hope the show adds some legitimacy to MMJ and makes people realize the bullshit the feds are trying to pull....

I do not know anything about how Jon grows....I only know How I grow...and I follow the guidelines set up by Chris Van Hook of clean green....Yes my room was inspected...and yes my soil, nutirents were tested....and are OMRI certified....and they spent considerable time in my grow room, trim room, and storage area.
I am in my room 2 to 3 times a day....and look at every plant.
and if you look at my avatar....that is my certification.
Now it is possible....I am missing the link you are connecting between clean green and ASA.....one has nothing to do with the other...as far as I can see.

Ok, I've watched the second episode... NOW I see how Discovery is spinning this: that they are a bunch of hacks jonesing for a fast buck. Is this a realistic portrayal? Some say yes, some say no. But I am recognizing this to be NOT representative of all dispensaries across the nation. They've spun it to where you get a feeling that you wouldn't necessarily want to deal with these people.
Helping that kid out with the seizure problem, the dad's doing something crazy according to the traditional medical world... but guess what, FUCK the traditional medical world. They would prefer that you basically throw your money at their big pharma medication and poison your bodies... and for what? So that their pockets get lined with the dollar bills? They do not care to recognize that sometimes the natural grown medications that are out there are actually BETTER than synthetic shit and thus have a significant place in our lives. True, you need the synthetics - they have their place, but the degree that they push that shit on the TV is repulsive. Seeing how cannabis medication helped the kid to be seizure-free for 4 days should speak volumes about the efficacy of cannabis based medication.
I would agree that they are quick to push "high-CBD" products onto their medical marijuana patients... wtf? You HAVE to have some THC to balance the effects so you do not get major couch lock, right?
I also think it's nice that they are illustrating that you CAN have problems with your grows... but wow, why the hell are they making it look like the growers are inept and are too stoned to properly care for their crop? Ohhh, that's right, reality tv editing. KNOCK IT OFF, DISCOVERY.
I'm beginning to be actually glad that this is such a short run show because the spin on this is starting to reach nauseating levels.

what do you mean pond? they make it pretty obvious in the show that he was working too many hours at the dispensary so he didn't have the time to look after his plants like he normally does....hence why he quit pretty quickly....also dont understand how this show looks like they only care about money.....i think its the other way around....the gov't is all about money...but obviously harborside is a business of compassion and there has to be money involved to keep it running
CBD is more of an anti inflammatory. CBN is what you are thinking of for the couch lock, not CBD. THC degrades into CBN which is a major factor in couch lock(but not the only). The way I look at it is you need CBD to balance out the THC along with come CBN.
I use cannabis to treat my asthma and I have found that strains with a CBD % of about 3% or greater seem to work better for me. Also If I smoke/vape strains with a really high THC content and low CBD % (like some grape ape I got) such as MOST of what is available at the clubs I get super paranoid. That is just MY personal experience and it is also good to keep in mind weed affects everyone differently.
