They looked like idiots at the tax appeal. Completely unprepared.

They have WAAAAY to many employees. They could probably cut labor costs by 50-75%.

I mean really. How hard is it to run one of these places? Do you really need 15-20 employees?

Steve keeps saying the council "needs to fix this". He needs to be the one at the meeting, not his idiot CFO. If my business was looking down the barrel of a 1.1 million tax bill, I promise you I would be at that hearing.

The tax committee said that the code had been in place since the beginning. The CFO said, "they knew nothing about the 1.1 million". Way to be on top of your shit.

I actually manage a business myself, and what they are doing is a joke. Makes the Medical biz look like it's managed by a bunch of amateurs, if this is the best there is...

I am responsible for 60-70 million in real estate. Oh, and my business is federally legal.

What they do is a joke. Running a retail shop isn't hard. Especially when the product sells itself, and is all consignment.

These people look like the amateurs they are, as far as a business model is concerned. I also have a BA and a MBA. I am more than qualified to pass judgement.

first off I would have shown up dressed for business with my tax lawyer and some documentation showing that the tax wasn't supposed to be retroactive as well as knowing how much city tax my business has contributed thus far. but I sure wouldn't said no I don't have a problem with the tax
