Hey Bazz,
Are you saying your bud doesn't smell after harvest, or during the entire grow? If it's during the entire grow then its genetics for sure, although im extremely surprised BOGS gear doesnt reek as thats all i grow and his gear reeks of dankness. If its losing its smell after harvest id say your overdrying it, ive done this myself too.
And ROFL at recommending Greenhouse Seeds, yo dude 2003 called they said gtfo Arjan, shieeet

I have only had the pleasure of smoking sourbubble a few times but that stuff stank so sweet

Outside of getting a different strain and genetics...
Speaking from experience with a Trainwreck clone, overtime the terpenes in the clones got weaker (took years). Grown from seed (GH) the Trainwrecks' smell is better. There is also within a strain can be variation in regards to terpene production from plant to plant.
In flowering if you do any type of foliar spraying you will reduce the smell, as well as goes for other various wash/chemicals that you do. If you aren't flushing near the end that will effect the smell of end product as well. During the end process remember terpenes are as delicate if not more so then THC, take care not to damage and lose them.

I've noticed that if a plant is stinking really good and I invoke a little stress by under/over/ feeding/watering, tying it down and/or removing fan leaves some of the funk goes away for a spell.

The plant has to be in Senescence. If not she wont be all she can be.
