In a different connotation, any dreams I had where long surpassed by anything I could envision so when I dream in my sleep it is beyond dreams.

so difficult to articulate but so very real to me.

...Most of the population would consider my use of these substances beyond reasonable in comparison to their own...

This is why I made a commitment to keeping it in my life for others. What a long strange trip it is on the golden road to unlimited devotion and eternal love...

point #1 >>> not everyone would consider that beyond reasonable

point # 2 >>> I hear you loud & clear :tiphat:peace 2 u...

I have vivid dreams every day, but I smoke only at night.

Never had a prolonged period of dreamless sleep.

I understand that not dreaming leads to trouble.

If getting high was counter intuitive to a healthy dream/wake cycle, I would stop getting high.

If you don't dream, what's the point of sleep.

Why get high if it make you not dream.
Not sure we're not dreaming, just sure we're not remembering our dreams. I'm rested and restored after a night of dreams not remembered.

I used to have a lot of conflict when I dreamed (and remembered the dream when I woke). I don't get that when I sleep on cannacookies. When I wake it is just a few hours later than the last time (when I pee'd and ate another cookie), and I have not had unpleasant dreams. My jaw isn't sore, my teeth aren't sore.

I'll take the restful oblivion any night!

The older I've gotten, the harder it is to get a full night's sleep. Weed helps a lot with that. Arthritis is life's way of telling you that you should have been more careful before what ever injury created the arthritis in the first place. Arthritis loves to do its talking at night. Weed seems to be just enough to make the nagging inaudible.

The PTSD references are interesting to me. I only realized recently that I had been deep into some of that a year ago - only made sense in retrospect. First thing I did was abstain for a month. That brought out the dreams which seemed to be helpful. The problem I was having was hyper-vigilance and that improved. Continued to improve after I de-abstained.

Self medication is complicated :D
