more politicians are starting to realize the full cost and devastating effect of locking down your nations economy. they have realized that their names will be in the history books under these decisions. they will be asked why did you not protect the vulnerable? why did you cause a massive economic depression, when you were facing a pandemic?

think about it, is it easier to fight a pandemic in a economic depression?

the decision makers behind new locking down everything idea will be looked at with contempt and ridicule when people are teaching kids about this time in history.

here in the EU you are noticing that most nations are not locking down again fully, even with higher new case numbers. they have been shown the data and don't want any part of it.

except in the US, where politician are worried about defeating trump more then anything else right now.

btw, Sweden did the same thing as governor Cuomo of New York, they put their covid 19 positive cases right back to their care homes, where it spread like a wild fire, causing about 25% of over all Swedish covid19 deaths.

the computer coders and programmers were scared to run out of hospital beds, so they decided to basically sacrifice the old now, so the young could potentially be saved in future. so they didn't "waste" hospital beds on those pesky, expensive, mostly conservative, elderly. let them go back to their care homes and wear masks and hope for the best.

despite strict mask protocols covid ran through those facilities like a world class runner.

this is how historians will look at the facts, they may interpret them nicer, but it comes down to the same facts whether i say i was trying to be ready to save young lives, or whether i say i decided to sacrifice the old so the young can be saved. the facts stay the same.

in the end, the hospitals were actually never over whelmed, so the sacrifice was actually not even needed and probably caused more beds to be needed by bringing covid19 in to a facility that's chock a block full of THE MOST vulnerable to covid19.
