Hey all,
I'm sure this has been mentioned before, but here are some of my first hand observations made living in two European countries (Germany and UK):
- The virus is real. half of my family and some friends had it and while no one died (it was close for two of them) some are still suffering more than 3 months after their "recovery" from organ damage incurred while sick with this virus.
- Social distancing and wearing a mask in closed rooms such as retail, train stations etc... are the only two things right now that seem to have any positive effect on curbing the virus infections and not spreading it. It's what Germany did right from the start in March and what the UK didn't want to do until late June. Everything else is pretty much the same and go check the figures for both countries.



That's about it, everything else is anectodal, hearsay or individual opinion I fear.


So if someone is refusing to wear a fucking mask, please go through the exercise of figuring out what your true values as a human are and it boils down to this:

It won't hurt you, it may help others. That's enough, it really shouldn't need more to convince anyone.

Funny thing is that this has been displayed by Gaius quite profoundly as he decides what other posters mean, even though they state something different than his interpretation. I may be guilty of this at times but I try very hard to take posts at their stated word.

IMO this is essential to legitimate debate. Accusing hh of TDS when he did not exhibit it is just one instance of many.

I agree that his statement about the statue being cancel culture was flippant and off base but Gaius's interpretation was wild.

Actually it was my cat and she had kittens. Both cats actually. I need to get them spayed but I’ve heard that doesn’t always work. I don’t know why they push it when it doesn’t always work. They’re probably on the take with Dr. Fauci . Besides my vet told me cats can get infected if you spay them. I blame Chinese infiltrators.
