naa thats not it. both clones ended up being the same too that proves a mistake was made in the first place so. we're you ever able to get rid of the leaf fade without adding cal mag? if so did you just raise the nutes?

I get rid of the leaf fade / variegation from raising my pH to 6.6 in Soil and 6.0 - 6.2 in Hydro. Of course these numbers will change depending on medium and how that medium adjusts over time compared to your nute pH. I never add any CalMag to anything. When I have sensitive plants that have a similar look to the leaves, it's usually due to a low pH. I've been able to fix all these types of problems simply by raising the pH and getting it back in line. Mg seems to do best a couple of points over 5.8 where the plant can receive more Mg. These plants are being flushed and prepared for harvest so it is much harder for me to adjust the pH of the soil at this point.

damn that shit happens to me even in the low 6's im guessin for me it might be a sign to raise the nutes. not 100% sure yet though but i think thats it you know i keep the nutes lower than you. il have it figured out soon

It's also possible that you need to raise nutes but highly unlikely considering I know your tap water is around 200 PPM and should have a lot of Mag added to it already. You can probably get a water quality report online from your city water supply company to see what's in it.

Your medium and techniques are much different than mine. I don't really have a medium where the roots are attached to, so my medium is basically my nutrient solution because my roots sit submerged in solution at all times. It is very easy to figure out plants this way because there is nothing messing with my pH numbers with no medium.

Knowing that you are most likely still using 4" rock wool cubes tells me that you are going to have a different pH reading inside the cube than the solution on your tray so it's much harder to fine tune these things unless you are able to flood very frequently and I used to flood every 1-2 hours in your style with 3" cubes though.

very true. my tap is at 95 though. additives equal around 150-200. im seein the leaf fade even with the dd at 800 ppm total including tap. im 31 days in and slowly raising it to see what happens. if you really think about it theres only 500 ppm of nutes minus the additives and tap thats why im thinkin raise it. its not that big of a deal im just fine tuning things as much as i can right now cause im new to this clone. maybe its impossible to get rid of after the stretch though. maybe next time i should raise the ppm sooner. time will tell

I don't understand your numbers and additives but I've been growing the DD for years and I use 6 Micro/9 Bloom per gallon which is around 700 PPM if you don't include the water. Maybe the additives that you are adding are giving you an imbalanced mix. I keep things very simple and only use Micro and Bloom in VEG and in Flowering I still use the Micro and VEG as well as Kool Bloom Powder. That is for huge 6 oz bushes. I never have to go over 900 PPM to keep these big plants happy.

You're more of a SOG grower so you wouldn't need the amount of nutes that I am using. I know you are probably testing different formulas between FloraNova and the Flora Series. The point is that if you used my same formula the whole time and still had problems, it would be much easier to eliminate what the problems actually is. If I was you, I would probably start with RO Water and the same formula that I use. If you still have the same problems, then it would be due to either your flood frequency, root problems or pH I'm fluctuations within your medium.

The problem is that if you are adding anything else besides your basic 1 or 2 part nutes, you can get an imbalance of nutrients once the plants use more of some nutes than other nutes. That's why a lot of nutrients come in more than 1 part because some salts don't balance well. FloraNova is a 2 part that can work but I can't stand how thick it is and it's real hard for me to measure it accurately so I stopped using it. Other people love it though. That 6 mL Micro and 9 mL Bloom with added Kool Bloom Powder at 14 days flower is a pretty amazing formula for me and gives me amazing results. Notice that I never use the Grow to get these results. For growers who use the Lucas formula they usually only use 8 mL Micro and 16 mL Bloom and they don't need any additional Bloom Boosters in Flowering unless they use less Bloom in the mix. It's much better to start as simple as possible so you can eliminate as many variables as possible to figure out your problems. The more things that you add, the harder it will be to figure out your problems.

The funny thing is that I still do EBB and Flow to this day but only in VEG before they hit the RDWC and I grow them to 9-12" and a lot of times I'm only using 4 mL Micro and 6 mL Bloom with the ChemDD and I don't use anything else at all. Look at this crop right here getting less than 6 mL Micro and 9 mL Bloom. PPM is set for 800 and my water is 150 PPM so my nuts PPM is only 650 PPM plus my tap:

picture.php

Those plants are between 17" and 24" and getting slightly less than 6 Micro and 9 Bloom. Nothing else is added at all and this room will easily pull more than 2 pounds of pure Chemdog Funk. So if these plants are getting CO2 and are this large, you would never have to go over these PPMs. The fact that you can go to 500 PPM with smaller plants and still have problems, tells me that something else is going on. I'll bet it has more to do with how often you flood your trays. Now if you have a tray with all ChemDD on that tray and some of them look real nice with no problems (say the taller ones) and other ones are showing these problems, it should tell you that more is going on that most likely has nothing to do with your roots and has more to do with your roots or flood frequencies. That's my take on it but you will know more as you eliminate more variables.

your totally right it could be the flooding. right now im flooding every 4 hours. il figure it out trust me, its gonna take a few crops to totally dial in. im happy how the plants look though right now for my second crop. as long as they stay how they are now it'l be a top notch crop

after i pull these 3 lb you can switch some setups to ebb n flow and we can dial em in together haaa lol. cant wait to see what i pull

If you can get 72 plants per 4x8 tray, I don't see how you won't kill it with the ChemDD. If you were able to give like 5 days of VEG under 1000 waters, you would really kill it.

with 36 doin no veg theres no more room left on the tray. if you veg you'd have to do less plants. trust me il kill it anyway. started trimming the first crop last night lol fuckin incredible

Hmmm... I dunno wtf that is???!!! lol

just kidding.. looks more like stardawg or wd than anything. you surely have something buggered if they look that finished already? top buds are to big to be white...

wd will look like that if not run treated the way she wants, hard to say bro? im not there?

Another thing... you are obviously running a base system for the first run and something is wrong ( judging the pics ) most hybrids look the same till 45-50 days unless dialed, the 40 and lightning look very similar in veg and early flower, very possible they are not the same strain and your system is limiting they're potential.

NONE of the strains we have smell like tangerine... i dunno wtf that is? if its killer send it back!!!!!!

If it makes you feel any better, i did get me nuts rubbed after i cussed her out for fucken yer shits up!

lol this is some funny shit. doneit one thing i agree with snype on is that if they have identical rare smells this late in flower than they gotta both be the same clone. so the chick didnt know what went wrong? she must be a ill stoner huh? lol

It's all good. I'm not judging anything on this grow but I haven't had any problems with this grow at all. These plants are all in Fox Farm Ocean Forest Soil which I've used since 1999 or before. They haven't got sprayed with anything at any time. They are under 1,000 Watt Hortilux Super HPS for 12 hours a day. When they do need nutrients, they get,

6 mL General Hydroponic FloraMicro
9 mL General Hydroponic FloraBloom
1 Gram Kool Bloom Powder

Those rates are for gallon and I pH my solution for soil to 6.8 and the PPM is around 800 (500 scale). I nute every week or 2 as they ask for them.

Your right though, it's hard to say what is going on. Got plenty more of them about to go into flowering again within the next 10 days so we will see what happens this time but she seems to eat more than The White and Nag Champa. Maybe she acts much different in Hydro than in Soil. Who knows. Thanks for the help. Maybe TreeKing will have a different experience with her in hydro.

Gotta try and put a little humor in it bro... fact is i feel stupid as fuck for what happened.
The chick had to drive 30 miles to 2 different spots to gather the cuts, obviously she did not do that. if she looked a little better i would have let it slide, but she has been stripped of a lot of privileges for lack of trust.

If it is wd-40.. you will notice her to start knotting up around day 45, not foxtail, but little bulky growth protruding from the buds.

I havent grown anything in dirt for yrs, i cant say much about the characteristics there.
hopefully in the near future we will be able to determine what they actually are, if its not what its supposed to be then the postal will simply have to be done again.

My sincere apologies fellas!

It's all good. No need for apologies. I've been thinking for the past week that my WD-40 and OWL could be The White. I was hoping someone would say this looked more like The White than WD-40. I remember someone stating a couple months back that The White will be the plant that will show them problems in the garden first and the ones that I have labeled as The White have shown me no problems. When I look more into some threads on The White here on IC, people say it smells sort of like Gummy Bears so that's fruity also which is what my "WD40" is. Also, The plants that I have labeled as The White grow slow but Lucid said in a post that The White is not slow. Other people said she was slow so it made sense what was labeled as The White is actually her but now i'm starting to doubt that. I'm going to take some pics tonight of what is labeled as The White to see what you say. Put it this way, my WD-40 has more crystals than my The White which makes no sense to me at all.

She is a fast vegger bro... big stretcher to... do not toss that one, you will regret it.

Snype, all the strains are super frosty, the one labeled white may be the ICE, indica stems, super smoke as well..

LOL! I'll tell you what, the one labeled "The White" is almost 40 days into flowering. She grows slow in VEG. Her stems in flower are very sturdy and thick. Pictures tonight. This just keeps getting more interesting. Hopefully we can figure out what all these are cause as of now I don't know what anything is anymore except maybe Nag Champa.
