Waterproof connection for 5 gallon buckets

Hi everyone, I had a question what type of connection is everyone using for the 1.5 in connection. Out of a 5 gallon bucket or garbage can. I have seen the unusual but had some concerns if they actually work. Any input would be greatly apprectiated

Lowes and Home Depot. You'll have to skim through my thread to find the place on the internet to get the washers. I was offering them but I sold out and need to get more manufactured. There's a store to get the washers somewhere in the last 10 pages of my RDWC Construction Tutorial in my signature. The dimensions might be on the first page.

Wouldn't the FIBERGLASS leach chemicals into your water?

It's a pvc fitting it is actually used to make a water tight seal on a fiberglass pool.

No because the fiberglass is gelcoated. Same as my boat.

It is a plastic pvc fitting. They make pools out of fiberglass so that is what this fittings original use is for. Do u think in ur experience we might be able to repurpose it?

Only way to know is to test it out and see what happens.

US Plastics http://www.usplastic.com/ , has all kinds of fittings, spigots, etc. and they will install them for you. They have Food Grade buckets also. Good luck. -granger
