Waterfarm/ Aquafarm, some questions.... :)

So i was thinking about investing in an waterfarm/aquafarm (example: http://www.hydroponicgrowth.co.uk/epages/BT3647.sf/en_GB/?ObjectPath=/Shops/BT3647/Products/01-005-010) but find the info supplied in the shops a bit confusing.

So here goes, they state 1-6 plants, but as I see it more than one per system would be crowded? Are they OK to grow in? Or first of all to keep motherplants alive?

Results versus coco/traditional growing?

pros and cons versus conventional growing? Will it be a system that is reliable and easy for a newbie (4 grows so far)?

Appreciate your time answering, so thx in advance! :jump:

Thx jm420, did so and I think I got even more confused :D But as I understand one of the cons is that the holes would clogged by nute residues....

Edit: For the ones that is interested, search for waterfarm woes which will give you the result jm420 kindly enough suggested. Very interesting even though it did not give me the answers I wanted :)

ive used waterfarm single madules for a few yrs now and i plan on getting a 8 bucket system and upgrading with the texas controller (20 gal res and 20 gal controller)... the single units i have needed more holes drilled in it for drainage but once thats done your set.... ive grown a single bush in 1 unit under a 1kw and got 9 oz of prime nugs.... i can not say that ive been disappointed or have regrets about these buckets.... they are very manageable and produce fast and healthy growth....

this is 4 l.a. women under a 600 watt hps...

my upgrades will consist of a waterfarm 8pack and 4kw of lighting... which should bring around 3-5 lbs per harvest with the right amount of veg and the right strain... hope this helps, good luck.. PEACE..

420Stylez, what can I say but WOW!!! That stem is of another world!

I´m convinced, will start next grow in 2 single, and as you´ve done grow one in each.....

Thx mate, very much appreciated.

Or you could build your own in a tote or rubbermaid, bucket even(custom). I like the Simplicity of DWC, pretty much set n go, or plug-n-play. All i gotta do is a daily PH check & adjust every 1-3 days or so & thats it, change solution for fresh every 7-9 days & top up with 1/8th strength nute solution(depending on brand). Couldnt be simplier, you are most certainly barking up the right tree as to ease of use.
Heres my DWC Tote!:
;)

You will need an EC meter & a PH meter of a decent quality, dont try to skimp on quality when buying equipment. Id say An AquaFarm is a good choice but its just as easy to build your own & then maybe spend the money you saved on a waterchiller. G'Luck
Try to keep what you put in the res solution simple, buy a one-part nute line like Ionic, very easy to use & results are top-notch, comes with boost component, the only other additives you'll need are h2o2 & maybe a drop or two of superthrive, some PH down & thats it, simples. Imo a one-part nute line will really help ya man ;)
