Hi comrades! How are your field goin'? Sprig is already on wane, so every day we are soo close to an end of planting new plants... I already planted a few and every free time i have, i use to plant. This time of year must be wise used up, if we want to enjoy in fruit of our labor in the fall. Is that simple. Many friends (offline and offline) ask me about outdoor growing, ratios of compost/ewc/perlite, super soil, super duper ass nutrition, wind and sun controlling, and worms talking.... than i said ENOUGH!
Outdoor growing must be simple enough, that trained monkey can do it. For science we created indoor growing, where we must create micro climate for our plants, mimiking and replicate sun (light), gentle breeze (vents), open field (exhaust), outdoor soil, etc, etc...
This year my strategy of planting is some like this: Found about 20 sites, 5-35 km from my home. Every site will has two-three plants. Every weekend, when i don't working in company, i go to one of the sites, dig 2-3 BIG holes, 60x60x80 on the bottom cover with 2 inches of pre weted water crystals, and sprinkle some more, dry on top of prewetted.
>>Soil<<-listen to this . I find in every of my sites (and pretty much everywhere in my country) numerous oak trees. Oak growing conditions are PH 5.5-7.5 pretty much like our lovely plant. So when i find some trees, i just move top, dropped leaves, in one pile (which i will use later as a mulch), and collect the best mother****ing hummus on the earth... . It has so much life in it (worms), that it is unbelievable. So i collect it of couple of trees and mix it with native soil in the hole 50:50.
So i substitute hauling soil to the sites, lowering chances to be seen, don't making tracks (before when i haul i fall a couple of times and make big unnatural holes in native grass-so easy to be seen), don't break my back bone on hauling, etc... I think it has very BIG benefits. In some of the holes i add couple, chopped, big plants of nettles (crazy amounts of N), or just make a concentrate solution in bottle, and hide it in bush, so when i get couple weeks later to plant, it was fermented and ready to use... Cannabis in nature have simple needs. The biggest one is >>AERATED SOIL<<, which helps them to penetrate deep into the soil where is cold and moist, opposite on the surface where is hot and dry in july and august.
This i confirmed myself on one crazy occasion. When i was working in the backyard, couple of yrs ago, i was cleaning and dumping rocks, wastes, sand, in the middle of two houses (back wall of my house and start of neighbour house). This space is 10 meters long and one meter wide (if you understand me). Between my house and neighbour house is just that space (no fence no nothing, just long and slim space). So in that space i was dumping rocks and sand, and i fill it approximately half meter in height.
About a year after that, i was looking at the same that space, to see what was going on (because it is so impassable) and i have so much to see ! Dried MJ plant over 4 meters long! Stem 8 cm in diameter (i measure it, i must to ), the biggest i ever seen! I never deliberately grow that big plant! It must be that some of my seed got there anyhow... But sun shine on that space probably one hour direct sun (because it is in the middle of two ten meters walls. I was so excited, how it have gone so big, no one caring for her, even no one planted her! So i looked at the medium... Rocks, dump one over another and some sand. No ferts no nothing. So i concluded it was aerated soil, who was helping roots to grow big and healthy, and deep in the ground. And one thing for a healthy plant is healthy big roots. Big plant above the ground, have BIG and healthy roots under it... Nature teach us in strange ways...
So, back on topic. My plants for this years outdoors will have BIG holes as possible, WC on the bottom with some nettles, and oaks hummus mixed with native soil to aerate it and give start food to them. On the surface and in the upper half will have more hummus, and maybe some sand or rocks for bonus aeration to give roots start space, and when it grow big and healthy, it will be capable of to penetrate deeper in to the ground.
This is one experiment for all of us, and i take, and will take pictures of plants progress and preparation, but i will post it and document it all when i finish growing, and when i get them in... Paranoia of some crazy sativa i apologize... I want to help all bastards on this forum with this tecnique, and i am sure it will bring some of big changes in outdoors growing (better and simpler ofcourse). I learned ALL of what i know on this site, and i want to give back... This is most reliable source of cannabis knowledge in the universe...
So one more back to the topic, for which i created it. I have one question for older-much experienced growers.
1. How can we apply WC on the holes which was all prepared and planted? I was forgot on some to add it, and want to fix error. I thought of some solutions. Can we, with long metal bar, poke a 4-5 holes of 50-60cm, 2-3 cm in diameter, and add it preweted WC or dry and then expand it? Will roots find it?
Other solution i was thinking is to dig some soil around the roots and apply preweted WC, so the roots will have access to the WC gel. Just simply small dig, trying not to disturb roots. Which one you think will work? Do you have some other ideas? I think many folks who was forgot to add WC, or simply want to add it after planting, will benefit from answers.
Thanks in advance for your time and your 2c . I am sure someone will chime in to answer or talk about this guerilla preparation of soil. If i find this year successfull in therms of harvesting minimum half pound per plant, this metod i will call a success. Then i will in detail explain my method, from finding site to harvesting, because it will be the BEST guerilla growing tutorial, and that will be the REAL guerilla growing. Guerilla growing is simplicity, without sofisticathed methods of irrigation, soil preparation, big money spend on it, etc, etc. My vision of guerilla growing is going to the backwoods just with shovel and plants/seeds/clones. And remember: BIG AERATED HOLES, FIRST, LAST AND ONLY NECESSITY. I saw guerilla growing tutorials with TONS of super soils, soil preparation, pump irigations, solar panels, etc, etc... That aint guerilla growing... It is indoor growing outside... This must be so simple that trained monkey can do it.
And with combined brainstorming... WE can do it. Our site can change cannabis growing forever. I start this experiment this year after couple of years thinking about it, and will sacrifice yield of one growing season for science reasons. And offcourse us. This is knowledge for us folks, and we can be first to discover it, because our site deserves that.
Sorry for my bad language, it is not my native.
Stay safe and high!
