I Agree, most of the buds you can buy in coffeshops burn and taste like sh|t. I guess this is because they found out that most of the people (tourists) that come to smoke weed in their shop have no ideea what is a good taste of weed and how a proper cured bud burns.

a pearl of wisdom for you coffeeshpp visitors ..

tram 1 or 17 to surinaamplein and then got to BoerenJongens or Bij (both owned by same ppl about about 30 seconds walk apart..

some of the best weed you'll fnd in amsterdam but also at sensible prices

Jungle Haze at 6.50 and White Chocolate at 6.50 just cant be beaten.

I've mentioned this before, but as I didnt mention barneys or GH ppl think I must be tapped (lmao)

I agree with you 100%, JamieShoes. These 2 shops have some awesome herb at very reasonable prices. The G-13 Chocolope is some kickass weed @ €11 pg. The White Russian is the best example of this strain that I have seen around Amsterdam in quite a few years. The G-13 Blu Sanguna was a very strong Blueberry tasting strain. The menus of these 2 shops are extensive. I must have asked to see 5-7 different strains, in each shop, and they all looked worth purchasing. I recommend Bij and Boerenjongens to all my friends. Well worth the trip out there. Peace.

i reccommend them all the time too, sadly the nature of a lot of ppl is that they would rather hang around in the red light, getting ripped off and telling the world how shit dutch weed is... que sera eh mate ;)

and the reason can go two ways:
1. Shop Policy- fleece the tourists and unaware.
2. Counter boy is doing it on his own for his personal head stash.

either way watch the scale at the coffeeshop and the butcher.
:)

It isn't for head stash, for sure... he's being watched very carefully by a camera at all the shops.

But in reality, a zeroed out scale doesn't mean much. It's just set for "zero" relevant to the calibration of the scale. For instance, you could calibrate a scale to 200 grams using a 180 gram weight, and be keeping 20 grams for every "200" you sell.

I've seen scales unplugged as soon as the law showed up a few times.

geez Hughesy, don't judge all of us by the actions of a few. yes, America has it's problems, but doesn't every nation? I don't judge all Europeans by the likes of Arjan:2cents: i've never been to Europe, but i would like to someday and i would hope that when i arrive, i'm not looked upon as such.

gotta agree with you on one thing though, hollywood is crap, everyone is so fake it's sickening.

to stay on topic though, short me on my weed, and there will be "Trouble--Trouble"*(Bernie Mac's character Chicago from Players Club..lol)*:fight:

And you should not judge Arjan from things you read or hear from other's, if you've never been to Europe and met the guy personally. I'm no protector of his and I'm not trying to start an argument with you but I must say he is one of the nicest most hospitable people you will meet in the coffeeshop world in Amsterdam. Peace
