you die without essential. for many people, there IS no line between the two, that they can see...

Mission will not get accomplished without a workaround for some missing essential element. Smoke oil without a pipe...

So what makes "essential oils" so essential?

On the one hand ... wtf is this thread about? On the other hand what a fantastic thread this is for a stoned afternoon. I usually visit the site mornings but now our Bandwidth has been increased for free by a Government extremely anxious the populace does not riot from boredom ... it's afternoon now, or avo, as we say in Oz.

Actually we say: AH - VO.

In Oz, if you say AVO like you Yanks do, people think you're talking about those green fruits called avocados.

So in ESSENCE (did you get that? My play on words?) I don't have much to say, but be assured I 'm with you in isolated spirit.

Sorry I 'm Back, I don't understand either. Maybe you forgot to include a link?

We use more comfortable places to ......

I love threads that have no beginning or end it’s just us talking back and forth

Hope everyone is keeping busy around the house and smoking lots of cannabis :dance013:

I left an old couch down in one of the buildings, essentially so the outside dawgs had a place to lay when it stormed. Mice/rats got in there, and the dawgs tore all the cushions to pieces, essentially making a huge mess of foam everywhere. I shoulda just tossed it.

Had a friend who had a Dalmatian pup that was sneaking upstairs into areas that were supposed to be closed off. Apparently for several weeks of time, while he was at work every day.
Found out one night, a couch, loveseat, one regular bed, one water bed, all partially chewed and pooped on.

Was a regular bonfire night on a Friday.

One by one they went into the fire, fairly impressive to watch. That foam in couches burns intensely.

By far the most impressive to burn was the water bed mattress. We put a wooden kitchen table in the center of the fire right side up, with waterbed mattress on top. Slowly burned off onto the fire, strange colors and a lava type look to it.

Buying myself that new high end professional kief tumbler was essential.

I know that you all agree with me on that. :D

On a more literal or serious note, and maybe explaining the obvious to some who only pretended to not understand (though the resulting thread was/is quite entertaining), I had the impression that I'm Back was making the point that persons are going out to do questionable stuff that doesn't even remotely approach the threshold of 'essential.'

Essentially, I believe that was the message or question in the message.

Re. the questioning of liquor stores, alcohol is one of the few substances we know of (to include benzodiazepines) for which withdrawal, for some seriously addicted persons, without medical supervision, can lead to death; literally.

Opiate withdrawal, while helping folks to sometimes feel like they might die, is rarely lethal, not withstanding other health complications.

But for some who are hardcore addicted to booze, valium, Xanax, etc., rapid withdrawal without medical oversight can be 'the last straw.'

If we closed liquor stores for this pandemic, how many hardcore drunks would be poisoning themselves with things they shouldn't drink, further cluttering up the hospitals that are already hit hard in some places?

On the down side, sequestering folks in their homes with substances that lower inhibitions, where there may already be heightened tension, even without the stress of the unknowns re. The Virus, will likely lead to increases in domestic violence, and there's already been some discussion about that between shelters and authorities.

Anyway, I suspect this post was a bit of a wet blanket, but I thought it was essential..

Essential? Is it essential for me to drink my own urine?
NO.... but i do it because it's sterile.... and i like the taste.

Bonus points for anyone who remembers which movie this 'slightly' modified quote comes from.

Don't know the quote, but in Frank Herbert's Dune Trilogy, and perhaps the related movie(s) that followed years later, their body suits recycled their urine.
