warning about digital ballasts

says who? I have not heard that they produce that much extra lumens, ive heard that they save that much extra electricity though.. sure you're not getting them confused?

here it states that lumatek is up to 27% brighter then standard coil and about 10-15% brighter then other brands which is true, but not all brands.. the ultralights are just as capable if not more.. plus with much much better shielding

Yea it is stated by all who make them that they produce more lumens than the standard ballasts.

Ive spoken to the person who owns HID Hut, and they are very reliable. I personally dont own any digi ballasts at the moment (and sadly, unable to grow). . . But They are very trustworthy. . .

ive got 2 venture lighting digi ballast(ppl who make sunmaster bulbs)and dont have any trouble.no interference with radio,mobile phone or satelite tv.
this is what i was told,that if you had 6x600w digi ballasts in your growroom that it would be an equivelent to 7 normal 600w ballasts.
this is what i read in soft secrets that over time your normal ballast will becom less effiecent over time and couple that with a bulb that has had a bit of use and thats when your 600w aint 600w anymore.its meant to take 20 mins minimum for a standard ballast to warm up and light the bulb to it potential wheras a digi shoup take about 60-90 seconds.
venture lighting ballasts can use any hps 600w bulb but recomends that you use their sunmaster bulb to get maximum benefits.
dont no about lumatek but another brand of digi ballast(cannatronic)are only compatible with sylvania growlux bulbs.

Among my circle of friends we consider digital ballasts to be a bust. Since they can be detected from the street. On the growtronix forum there is a link to bghydro article where they tested several models for radio interference. All but 1 had interference at 30 ft.

no kidding its stated that they produce more but i have never seen it said 30%. the first link you posted doesnt say how much just more and thats old news. the 2nd link you posted doesnt work..
i am not gonna beleive they produce that much more lumens untill i see it with a light meter. i spoke with the owner of md hydro numerous times in person and he told me that the increase in lumens is relatively small. guess ill just have to see for myself.
