Walmart prepaid visas questions.

I tried wal mart visas but they say in the very small print on the back== only for use in usa
I go to the local supermarkets and they have those kiosks with a bizillion plastic cards for every kind of resturants,and business, the kiosks also have visa gift cards for "use around the world" or "international use." dollar amt. is 20-200. I just go to the cashier, hand them the cash plus a 5.95 charge to "activate" the card. place my order with nirvana, the card has been accepted the last 4 orders i placed with them and the visa cannot be traced back to me.

You can get pre-paid american express good for intnl orders up to 200 at the supermarket where I live, just saying... and since you have to have an address to have the seeds delivered to, have the credit card info registration to activate it reflect the mailing address you want to use.

most if not all seed banks don't except American express the bay and the one we all know of do not. Visa and MC only

Alright, was sorta looking for an answer to something and I think this place would match best...

The boutique states the information (address on cc) needs to match shipping address. How is this done with prepaids?

What about The boo mentioning the name and address on cc has to match the shipping address.. if your "international cards" don't have an address how does the boo process it?

Not sure what the issue is with your SS#, I have a ReadyDebit Greendot, registered to me, real SS#, real address. I just like to be able to use a Debit/Visa without depositing cash at the bank, instead I load the Greendot, and use it as I please. The thing can hold up to 10K! Not to order seeds, though, for that I send a Money Order..
The fucking banks suck, I get too many suspicious looks when I deposit cash, even though it's always less than 2K at a time... like they have a problem holding my money. Fuck them! They should be offering to help me out of my car, and bringing me coffee..... instead I get dirty looks. I don't even bank where I live, I do it down in Denver, just to avoid the gossip chain.

there's supposed to be a web link on the card where you can setup your name and address
some seem to have found you can occasionally get away without registering

To be honest I don't know why anyone could be worried about using his own Credit Card to buy seeds.

Why?

Because if you get caught growing you got a lot worse to be worried about than where the seeds came from/how you paid for them.

Plus reputable (seed) companies do not disclose on your CC bill/statement what you have purchased.

my vanilla visa wont work on any online sites eventhough they say it will. it works fine in person but why bother, you can just use cash in person.

for ordering seeds, Ive mailed cash to Gypsie and to Dr. Chronic without any problems.

i don't think seedbay takes cards of any kind, just MO and cash
and you can't combine gift cards on one order, i saw a thread in the seedbay forum with this issue
this is when i lost interest in the cards and sent cash

you do have a point, i did small orders, 1 packet of nirvana seeds in a order, about $40 cash, i could live with that loss
used priority mail(this was to seed boutique), which wasn't too expensive
but i have seen orders of over $1000 being talked about on some posts, crazy!

You are worried about purchasing seeds that won't show as such on any CC statement...what you should be worried about not getting caught growing!

I have bought a visa gift card from my local supermarket just buy the ones with a set amount they come in 25, 50 and 100 dollar amounts. I have also used the moneygrams from walmart without even giving my name.
