sigh - deja vu all over again, prop 19 fault lines will not heal
perhaps some hope, DD posted that resources might be channelled to the best chance prop, RMLW would be nice
in any event, let us pray(some of us) that this could be the year
and forgive the money grubbing pricks that would have it otherwise

Just get off your fucking asses and vote to make the issue pass and than lean back spark up some of your favorite smoke and smile because you just made HISTORY. This is the last chance to do it so just please vote for it in November. Jon 54

Hello all,

While you all are pissing up trees about this I would like to point out the other industries spinning off from legal cannabis...such as textiles, food, oil(fuel).

Frankly you can continue to trott around in circles sniffing each others ass, I really don't care (its somewhat amussing).

I have my 215 and grow and smoke all that I need.

I do not fear the governemnt at this time with regard to mmj as they do not have the budget to ruin my life.

I think there is a "head in the sand" aspect to this. I, like most med patients had no idea the initiatives were doing badly, but thing each group needs to do much more outreach to the community, including the dispensaries. And the various factions will have to work something equitable out. People are afraid of change, but that train has already left the stations. Spring is gonna be the time for "feets in the streets", so get ready. Argue the merits of each initiative without resorting to name calling, it just inflames emotions and is not productive.

I would hope that you wont be selfish and not help the countless individuals that are persecuted, arrested, lives ruined because your fine with 215. Please vote for cannabis legalization in Nov... CLWA has nothing to do with 215. It will not effect 215 in anyway.

Really? So while you're here denigrating others who are not only trying to keep 215 pristine, who are doing their (read: our) damnedest to keep local municipalities from destroying 215, but are also working towards wider legalization, you're happy as you are. That's wonderful, but locally my rights have been impinged upon, where I am there is, for all intents and purposes, no 215.

I spent the better part of Tuesday morning this last week listening to five people in positions of power discuss in public how much medication I and the patients I represent should be allowed to grow, and they happen to have a particular number in their heads (that they clearly discussed outside that public meeting) and I'm supposed to work with that, even though it does not meet my needs.

None of these proposed ballot initiatives will affect 215, but locals will and do (as you know!). If any one of these passes, it will further thwart their efforts to restrict patients access and ability to grow medicine.

Change federal law (and eliminate the over usage and distribution of prescribed drugs handed out like candy) and we will be moving forward, as we just dont have enough states to change it otherwise...and like our fed government really gives a shit what gets voted in every state by the people of that state, remember votes mean nothing, big money is the only universal language our federal government speaks and that is the bottom line!!

Changing federal law is a decidedly different, and more difficult, proposal that starting locally, i.e. grassroots.

At this time I believe arguments are still being made that would hopefully bring the courts to cause the DEA to change scheduling. That's what we're up against, not so much federal law as a federal bureaucracy that makes up the rules as it goes along. The only way I'm aware of to get a recalcitrant bureau to change such policies is through court, and that costs. Time & Money.

^ Change in government happens in increments in america; one stone at a time. government has chipped away our proverbial wall of freedom and built their wall of control. Now it is our time to take out the hammer and chisel and get our stone masons working again.
