yeah Tobaaaac, I did run across something about that..
I left some infor re: that and a really good Lucas based feed schedule (rez's) at my current grow thread. Anyone interested (uhh hmmmm....thread starter)should check it out it rocks (lucas chart).

Whats the green bottle fer??????

:muahaha:

Hi All,

OK - here's the deal - a few more things you should know:

(1) A couple days ago I gave the older plant a good leeching with mild nute solution - all the new growth started to come in yellow. Since the "first feeding," the growth has taken off, and the new growth is nice and green, so I'll likely just not feed 'em again for a few weeks.
(2) I've moved the plants back in the house under the white CFLs - looks better already. Been misting them a little too.
(3) Since I've already got the 4" Vortek and the 3-part GH solutions, I'll probably continue until those run out, and likely go with Lucas formula after that.
(4) I do have a small circulation fan and will add that into the mix when I kick off the cab again. When I do kick it off, I'll likely adjust the light schedule so that the cab is off from noon to 6:00 PM - the warmest part of the day.

Anyways, the kids are still alive - I'll give em a few more days and see how they look, but keep fingers crossed - so far, so good!

P.S.: Still not enough posts to use the PM system.

a few weeks? :nono:

when you see the two little ____ ughhhhh. THE LITTLE LEAFY THINGYS THAT STORE FOOD ENERGY FOR WHEN SEEDLINGS FISRT SPROUT AND HAVE NOT ENOUGH CHLOROPHYL (short term memory loss :bashhead: )dry up and curl off, you should also see at least 2 sets leaves. Seedlings are little different this way compared to clones with roots. the chart i have posted in the AO grow ..wait ...here

I gare ron teeeee that will produce a very desirable result.

Hi All,

That is a great Lucas chart - I will refer to it.

Here's the latest - the new growth coming in on the kids was curling under, so I followed your advice and gave the older one a mild flushing w/ pH adjusted water. This was the only one that got the full dose of nutes, and it looks like it's respnded already - the yellow growth has turned green, and the new growth is normal looking. I'll be staying away from the nutes for a while! I'm not sure if this is good news, but both of these plants seem to be showing Indica traits - short wide leafs? Dang - I hope they're females - I can't wait to clone!

Peace and Happy Thanksgiving!

Hi All - Here's an update:

(1) Its been about 6-7 weeks since my bagseed hit soil. The older one (by about a week) was getting too big for the cab, so I topped it, and put the topping in water until I could root it to determine sex. A couple of days in the water, and the topping sprouted male appendages. I do not know if the plant hermed, or if it was really a male, but both the topping and plant got axed, just to make sure.
(2) The other bagseed is doing great - it is also ready for a topping, but this plant actually looks shorter and bushier than the first, though they both appear to be the same species - short, very wide, fat leaves - looks clearly indica to me. I would like to take some clones, and then I think I'll likely replant into a larger pot and go ahead and bloom it. This plant looks physically identical to the other that got axed, and seems to be displaying male appendages, though it is shorter and stockier than the other.
(3) The weather has dipped and it's finally become cold enough to run the system if I wanted, but right now everything is still under the CFL rack, though I've shifted everyting back into the cab, and hung the CFL rack from the HPS. Temps are about mid-60s in the cab.

Hi All - just a quick update - here's some of the latest. The big plant in front is the bagseed I started - needs to be sexed to determine gender. This happens to be the heathiest plant I've ever grown, and I think I attribute most of the success to balancing pH. No purple stems - no yellow leaf tips.

looks like you may need a cal mag add to your rooted clones.
pretty sure the little indica is a female based on brachts. Just a guess though.
