only 11% of voters 18-29 turned out....no wonder 19 didnt pass its because everyone was high as fuck and didnt wanna vote.

i was pretty baked when i went and voted...and the hectic crowded cramped space gave me mild anxiety when i was walked in....not a fun place to be when your high.

what i wanted on 19 for yes vote? 10x10 instead of 5x5...we need at LEAST a bedroom. and the ability to combine users into one grow instead of the nazi like "one grow per house" rule...raise the OZ limit to 8oz or the same as local 215 guidelines. get rid of the sub 21 age group ban.

there are other things i want but those three basic things would have made me vote yes. not like it would have mattered though....republicans and conservatives are out in full force.

Looks like only 4%, 500,000 more voters were needed for it to pass.

If 100,000 of pro 19 californians had gotten out there and changed 5 minds each then it would be legal today.

Better bill & Better campaign next time I think... It's a nock back for legalization worldwide for sure. To be blunt we needed california to be the guinea pig for the rest of us. The test subject on which all other propositions would be written.

Here in New Zealand we are going about things a little differently. But are aiming to legalize cannabis on November 11th. A victory for cannabis in california would have really benefited our campaign.

Better luck next time Cali.

I think that it is stupid that the best thing we have is a poorly written bill to decriminalize. Too bad we have dumb elected officals that write a bill that conflicts with prop 215.

I wanted to post last night when the ballots were in..and I guess there may be a few more to be counted yet,not that it's going to change anything. I decided to wait and collect my thoughts a little. I wasn't pissed off, just disappointed I guess, discouraged too. I was hoping for a little forward progress, something at least, but what's done is done. Let's keep moving forward here, somehow. I don't know if there will ever be a proposition,or bill written that will satisfy everyone..probably not. We do need to come together and work something out that the majority can agree on. It would be really cool to see everyone getting along no matter what they believe,or how they voted. We have to come up with something..we'll get em next time. Take care folks.

two reasons why this failed:

1) our youth = FUCKED - mostly lazy, under-educated, video game brainwashed FOOLS... they were all probably just waking up (from their long nights of video gaming) around 730pm when the booths closed

2) this proposal could not have been on a shittier election day... republicans showed up... and its pretty much a known thing that conservative republicans are anti-marijuana

ok one more:

3) the proposition was poorly written and did not cover as many bases as it should have; and it forgot about groups of people who's words REALLY do count...( for exmaple krunchbubble is probably the man in his town, so if he tells 15 of his customers its a shitty prop, then them 15 who look up to their dank provider will spread the word and say vote no as well in respect for their weed man.... then before you know it, a pyramid effect occurs, and TONS of peeps think NAH...but if KB was pleased with the prop, then he coulda started a YES vote... and im sure there are TONS of KB's out there.... )

im personally glad it did not pass. (cuz i do not want my hood getting flooded with cali weed shipped via fed ex)... more work needs to be done nationally... more states need to legalize medically... more peeps need to be informed... more old folks need to die off....

i believe another state other then cali will legalize first... the state that legalizes first will be the state that sits back and watches the cali "guinea pig" state get beat up and learn from their trial and error...

I agree, I think if people are charging more than $1200 to $1600 an elbow the dispenseries need to find more hook ups. Better yet the patients should be taught how to maintain small gardens for themselves so they can get rid of the greed. If "caregivers" are charging the prices that I hear the only care they are giving is to themselves. I know that at least a percentage of people with med cards are actually too sick to grow their own but are these the people that growers should be gouging? Seems to me that these patients should be paying greatly redused prices for the medicine they need if they should be paying at all. I've been growing weed long before most of these "caregivers" were even born and I know the price of growing so don't try to tell me that you need $2500 a pound and up. Merdical MJ doesn't need profiteers preying on the sick, it needs compassinate people supplying patents with MEDICINE for REASONABLE compensation. Hell if we had MMJ in my state if they supplied the location and equipment I'd volunteer my time for nothing, I even got seeds. And if you don't think I bring the fire you better think again, lol. The revolution is coming and the days when growers get rich by preying on the sick are coming to an end. The thing that really rips me is that you guys could supply and still make a reasonable profit but instead choose to exploit the situation. Go for it, karma is a bitch with a big strap on and she loves to make greedy people pay.

right on wayne,
Our youth is a bunch of fucktards for sure. I'm pretty young myself, but it seems as though most after my generation are complete idiots with no thought process at all.

I dont think this should be a huge concern. Compressed vacuum-sealed Cali product is already leaving the state in large number via fedex, usps, ups (usps safest). It'll only make untainted/uncompressed nugs more favorable in my opinion. Bomb isnt the same bomb it once was once its been handled, packaged, and compressed to hell.

I would have voted YES had I lived in CA. Its just the right thing to do when hundreds of thousands are currently being locked up for a simple plant, but I do somewhat understand where some of coming from when their lively hood is made from it.

The bill wasnt anywhere near perfect, but BIG CANNABIS will exist whether we like it or not. Amendments could have been made to this prop at later times.

If you voted NO - your part of the problem. Voting for the continued war on cannabis is not the answer. Take your product out of state to unfriendly states if you want to continue to play a part in this blood shed to get top dollar for your easily grown product.

I'm sick of all the selfish greedy fucks on here whining about how they cant make as much off of their garden anymore. Learn to adapt and make money in other avenues if you must, but CANNABIS SHOULD BE LEGALIZED.

If you cannot make money in a brand new legal industry related to cannabis then thats pathetic and just a result of sheer greed and laziness.

Large chain grocery stores sell tomatoes, but so does my neighbor with his small produce stand and visits to the farmers market on Saturdays. BIG CANNABIS will not put small time growers out of business. A large amount of people will still prefer top quality over some mass produced 7/11 bullshit.

Cannabis will be legal and quality demands will go up. <- CANNOT GO WRONG WITH THIS!
Sink or Swim, but all should embrace legalization. Everyone who voted NO just gave the FEDS and other authority the green light OK to continue to terrorize normal people. Thanks a lot!

CA folks shot themselves in the foot on this one. Everything the DEA does now is essentially justified because the people of CA haven spoken. You voted to continue prohibition - You lose.

The Growers are not the ones gouging-- They sell the D's Product for decent prices...then the D sells it for $5000+
If you sell to them for $2200, or for $1500...they do not change THEIR prices--

Lol...U would be surprised with how many people think that good bud is supposed to resemble that "handled, packaged, and compressed to hell" bud! I know people that will look at perfectly grown organic buds that are covered with trichs & wonder what's wrong with it because it's not that hard "Cali bud." But, I do totally agree with you & with time I think people will learn. Great post Cheeb....u say ur young, so u must be wise beyond ur years!

Ah let's wait for 2012 when republicans/libertarians will be out in full force to elect whoever opposes Obama. Should have passed 19 now while we had an intelligent leader who more than likely would have let 19 be. If you think a conservative is going to sit idle if mj legalization happends in 2012 your delusional. If 19 had 2 years without problem in CA it would have made it harder for next president to justify it's closure. Oh well elections over. All you 215ers who voted no better hope this backlash against mj doesn't come to shut down 215...19 would have taken all the heat off the mmj system, that you cannot deny.

I am waiting for those to respond to the above who have been bashing growers (and not dispensaries!) on previous pages in this thread claiming growers are charging "too much" for their product.

Well?

Better yet the patients should be taught how to maintain small gardens for themselves so they can get rid of the greed.

We've both been on ICmag for over a year, how come people "SHOULD" be "TAUGHT" to get rid of the "GREED"?

Just wondering why they don't take "RESPONSIBILITY" to "LEARN" and "GROW" their own.

The flip side of all the GREED arguments is LAZY / FREE-RIDER who won't GROW.

if i vend at a place for 2000, that better be up on their $35 dollar 8th board or i pull my membership.

how would we go about promoting a fair market scale? being thrown under the bus by the movement is getting old.

krunch- ive heard the same thing as far as 22-24 range on bomb indoor. ogs goin for 3 that a few weeks ago would have gone for 4.

the biggest scam is buyers wanting 14 for kill outdoor that is then sold as indoor at the dis for 65/8th. i say everyone starts selling their outdoor as indoor lol, then the market would be pressed to buy at quality of buds rather than allowing themselves to be gouged over a label. i had a blown indoor run that looked far worse than my outdoor, yet it still went for more, hows that happen?
