goodluck california
im going to bed, so help me god if i wake up to a no vote tomorrow

there will be consequences.......

:clover:

Devito is a fool, the governer Decriminalized cannabis about 3 weeks ago, in October. Did nobody else get the memo?

That's what most adults who are non-medical want anyways, having less than an ounce be a minor infraction. And they got it, so thank goodness 19 is going down. Too many people had no clue about who was really behind it, and that is majorly scary. It's not even about legal/illegal, it was a poorly written bill to hand over wealth to oaksterdam. End of story.

I read this thread. I see people stating why they do or don't want it to pass. It's fucking America and people can vote the way they want regardless of how you and those on your side of the issue feel about it like it or not.
Selfish reasons? Maybe.
Not the idea of legalization they want? Maybe
See it as something is better than nothing? Iffy
Thinking it's the right thing to do. Good for you
Stating on a canna board you "I sincerely hope you become imprisoned for cannabis." Unfuckinbelievable.

Selfish? Fucking entirely.

If you vote against a bill that would stop incarcerating people for cannabis related matters, you have absolutely no problem sending them to jail. PLAIN AND FUCKING SIMPLE.

^I take it that is a comment from a yes voter to a no voter. That is bad. I think people should vote yes on this but I dont want no voters to get busted as some sort of revenge. I also doubt that any no voters want me jailed. growers generally are not that malice to other growers. I would rather have them overgrowing the system with us. it is all about the big picture of personal freedom.

lol...Oakland isn't even mentioned in 19. The mega grow permits you might be thinking about in Oakland are medical. Funny shit though

^are you anti weed, i see you have 3 posts? if so lets have a private debate through pm. I will be nice, and I will link sources, and show you many facts that you might not be aware of. Also I will post up a vin diagram that weighs positives and negatives.

Im not anti weed. Im smoking right now. Im just pissed with the people on here that started talking shit and name calling when I posted a month ago that most close issue sway towards the no vote on election day. Which what looks like might of happened today. I dont believe exit polls so ill believe it failed after they count it up.

But fuck prop 19. And i seriously cant believe any informed person in this state would vote no on 23. But it looks like thats the case...fuck

^oh ok. I hope 19 passes, but this argument has been going on forever and there is nothing new to debate with you about. I dont see any reasons to call you names for not trusting exit polls?

I'm not saying you're unable to vote however you want, but I implore you to prove to me how voting against a bill that would cease the imprisonment of people for cannabis related matters in any way helps the cannabis movement.

Colorado's pot legalization campaign to kick off Wednesday

Colorado's pot legalization campaign to kick off Wednesday

http://facethestate.com/by-the-way/19596-colorados-pot-legalization-campaign-kick-wednesday

November 2, 2010
By Greg Campbell, Face The State

With Californians poised to make world history should they vote today to legalize adult possession of marijuana through Prop 19, Colorado may not be far behind with a similar measure.

Regardless of how Tuesday’s vote shakes out, marijuana activists in Colorado will launch their legalization drive on Wednesday in Boulder. Dubbed Legalize 2012, the effort hopes to petition onto the Colorado ballot a measure that would legalize all adult uses of both marijuana and hemp.

Compared to other areas of the country, marijuana is already as close to legalized in Colorado as a federally prohibited substance can be. Since 1975, adult possession has been decriminalized down to a mere $100 fine for those holding an ounce or less, and in more recent years, Denver, Breckenridge and Nederland have all legalized pot possession in small amounts, meaning that there are no local laws under which to charge people (local police can still write citations under the state law).

And, of course, it is legal to grow, sell, buy, possess and use marijuana for medical reasons, although the freedoms afforded to medical pot patients and their caregivers have been greatly tightened under new laws signed this summer by Gov. Bill Ritter.

These incremental steps toward a greater legal acceptance of marijuana is indicative of the greater cultural trend in the same direction, said Paul Danish, a former Boulder County Commissioner and marijuana legalization advocate.

“Especially with the medical movement, people saw that people could have access to marijuana and the world would not end,” he said. “Marijuana is one of those issues in which public opinion changes very slowly. It’s essentially one generation passing and another one coming on.”

Danish, who will speak at Wednesday’s campaign kickoff, believes the momentum is moving inevitably toward legalization, at least on the state level. If Prop 19 fails, he said, its backers will immediately begin another campaign to hold a vote in two years.

If it passes, it will set up a showdown between California (and subsequent states that follow its lead) and the federal government; under federal law, any amount of pot is illegal for any reason. Danish is more optimistic than some in believing that the feds will capitulate and quit enforcing federal law in states that legalize marijuana.

“If this passes, the federal government will be fairly forthcoming on cooperating with the states,” he said. One reason, he said, is the political reality of California’s heft in presidential politics, with more than 50 electoral votes. But the other is a more practical reason: The DEA couldn’t possibly muster the resources to bust everyone who would be inclined to light up.

Wednesday's Legalize 2012 campaign kicks off at the Best Western Boulder Inn, 770 28th St., from 6:30-9 p.m. The event is free and open to the public.
