violeta fem . pink/green and purple pheno. pictures taken a couple of days ago. my camera lens is damaged so they are not the best pictures. i have no idea how they will smoke. they look pretty , balsamic aromas is accurate. around 3 weeks left to go . Best grown in a light soil mix. 2 of mine went hermie as soon as they went into allmix , from lightmix. Therefore,a full bodied soil is a bit too strong for this hybrid . Both pck and malawi present in both phenos. pretty plants , i love the green/pink pheno in person and think she will smoke irie
Enticing looking flowers @shiva82 Looks like you are close to finish!
Violeta does indeed prefer moderately rich soil and feedings, hermies in the line are very rare, first i've seen or heard of it. Are you growing the regular or the feminized version ?
hi dubi. They were females , 2 had male flowers form at the onset of flower, within 2 weeks of changing to flowering schedule. I think possibly the soil strength caused that. I pot up for flowering and possibly the change from light mix to a full allmix was the factor. i can scroll my grow diary to find the pictures. I flowered them young before preflowers had shown too, but i think the soil change was the issue. grower error most likely. not to worry. thanks
purple pheno. 2 weeks left on both girls. this one is hard to photograph as she is so dark. and i have damaged my camera lens. with it being a purple strain it has tinted with colour trichs early on , i supect if i rosin press a fresh dried flower she would produce possibly purple ,pink or red rosin . the pink/green pheno holds much more oil content i imagine. i will find out in a few weeks.
pink/ green pheno really stacking in a foxtail fashion now. both phenos grow like an indica in stature and flowering time and they show their sativa character later in flowering . they are under 10 hours light now , and i'm just using 315 watt cmh per m2. low intensity . fed only water and still have tip burn from up potting into the all mix. aslong as they have rootspace going into flower they dont need any additional food if using a fertile soil blend . that is my experience with violeta so far . peace.
violeta @ 8 weeks flowering. 10-14 days to go i would imagine. two phenos. one is purple and one mixed green and purple also with red pink colourations.
last week for this pheno. i will just her in the shade now and let the soil dry up before i take her down on sunday. forest fruits and musk seems about right so far for the aromas. i slipped in my room and my scissors managed to chop off two early sample buds and put them on my drying rack by the time i gained balance.
she is pretty and i imagine she is quite adaptive to multiple climates. I have no idea o#if either are a good smoke yet and i look forward to sampling both phenos. i will post pictures when they are fully ripe and then once dried . rude not to. peace
a few more . this pheno is ripe enough for me. It could go another week like her sister but this one i will take down on friday That would be 65 days . her sister will go 70 days.i think with any seed it is best to always veg until pre flowers are visable and use a light mix soil if you intend on using a nutrient feed regime and it will be completely problem free.If using a fertile soil , no additional food will be needed if there is enough root space for expansion going into flower.
Congrats on your Violeta finish @shiva82 the second one also finished really colorful at the end.
Enjoy your well deserved harvest, and please let us know your opinion about the finished product once it is well cured.
