3LD> yeah I pretty much figured she was the green pheno, and is truth to tell the pheno I wanted from the start. Now we just have to wait and see if she gets frosty or not. Also, my wife, katsmeow, takes all the pics for me, she appreciates the compliments. Hey, give me a heads up when you start the Very Berry Burmese, very interested in that particular cross. Had a burmese x shiskaberry cross from Reeferman that was just killer
Will do md & good lookn stuff NWM. Your right on with the purp caylyxes from the very begining.
Also anyone growing these blackberry s1's should look out for late nannrs' ..pull um or let um self...if it happens. This is 1 reason i'll not be continuing the 1s that reverse. I hate any potential pollen chuckn & have been stress testn some of my momas lately for the stablest' 1s to breed with.
hello friend's.....
ahhh would ya just look at all the blackberry pics happen in this wounderfull thread....
mountain, if i'm not mistaken i think were pretty clost to the same age with our BB....just confermed this morning that all 4 of mine are female, just waiting for some color to tell me what i'm looking/working with.....
NWM, ahhh very very nice pics of some early purples my friend, thats exactly what i'm waiting/looking for with just one of my four BB......
3leg, what can i say my friend you seems to be leading every one by example on this fantastic strain and for that i do thank....and i will be looking out for nanners to sure.....ummm Question though are you seeing the nanners more on the purples or the greens?........
Could anyone tell me what's up with this VBS? It looks to be a healthy color, and I'm sure I haven't overferted (if anything it's under). It's also not overwatering, since it had been so long since last water that I first suspected underwatering. The fan leaves are droopy and curling back and under...but only some of them.
hello cabong
whats the temps in your grow area?.....it has the look of an overwatered plant but if your temps are involved it very well could be underwatered, soil is looking really dry in that pic my friend...........
peace
The temps are low (62 deg. or so), but this plant's siblings show no sign of trouble
the soil looks dry, but that is just the surface, as I watered when I first noticed the trouble (since I thought it was drooping from lack of water).
Hmmmm....I guess there's nothing to do but wait. It'll clear up if the roots are water-logged, and if not, I'll see further clues to the prob.
hello cabong
your top growth still looks Quite good, plant looks good except for the 2 set of true leaves.....ummm just make sure you have good drainage and also make sure your drainage holes are not being block by any soil debre.....other then that my friend just keep an eye on it over the next few days.....
peace
This is in another thread, but thought it might be relevant here.
Coming to think of it....wouldn't Xmas be a yearly celebration of strain-crosses and hybrids? (X-mas)
‘Twas the day after Christmas, and all through the world,
Lots of stoners were growing, with fan-leaves unfurled,
Good strains from Nirvana, and others to boot,
In hopes of drying and smoking the fruit.
What? Fruit? I mean flowers, and I in my bed
Awaited the sugary buds which I’ve fed
With Nitrogen, Phosphorous, Kalium too.
Who’d’ve thought I would bless little worms for their poo?
I had just settled in for a long winter’s nap,
Which might have been caused by that bong in my lap,
When all of a sudden there rose such a clatter,
I jumped from my bed to see what was the matter,
And went to the Post to check my ol’ box,
I threw open the door after op’ning the locks.
In non-descript packaging, lo and behold!,
I found some great beans which that Gypsy had sold
To me on his site for affordable cash.
To soil! To soil! Let us go in a flash!
Yet above and on high, I did think I could hear
Nirvana’s own Gypsy cry out in the clear:
“White Rhino, White Widow, grow Misty and Ice!
When flowered a while, the trichomes are nice!
Jock Horror, Neville’s Haze and Skunk number One,
When harvested right, you’ll be in for some fun!
And these are but part of the strains that I sell,
They’re all rather nice, and they grow rather well.”
Like Santa he sounded, and even as jolly,
Though I reckon he’d smoked something other than holly.
And just as Nirvana’s glad voice disappeared,
I espied in my purchase a thing which seemed weird.
‘Twas not weird in the least, as I came to find out,
but was one of those freebies I’d heard all about.
Along with my order there came a great prize,
A wee baggie entitled ‘Very Berry Surprise.’
I counted ten beans, they were shiny with stripes,
And now I can’t wait to smoke that in my pipes!
Though gen’rously given and fondly prepared,
Nirvana intends these seeds to be shared.
So follow his example, and serve a great end,
Take some of those seeds, and share with a friend.
To conclude this poor, parodied, yule-tidy song,
Have a great growing season, from ol’ El Cabong.
Be safe and grow well, may your plants reach the sky,
Merry Christmas to all, and to all a good high!
Hey El Cabong!!
If you live where your name implies the tap water is high in tds. Like 450-500 and ph around 8-9.
They just started flushing out the water supply with high doses of chlorine. (maybe you saw that on the local news?)
Your mix is great for growing but watch the PH, peat is really acidic.
Good growing bro.
I was worried about pH, and am contemplating adding some dolomitic lime into the soil. I'm not sure what my water's TDS is, but the pH is an astounding 7.8 coming out of the tap...so I figured peat + tap water = regular pH. I had been having nasty pH issues and potassium availability problems because of the high pH, and could never lower it because of the lime buffer, so I thought I'd start with un-limed peat and just monitor the pH. It was hanging out around 6.0-6.3, so I was happy, and just figured if I saw any problems I'd add lime.
What gets me is that this is the only plant of 5 to exhibit this problem. I'm thinking becuase it's a sativa pheno, and two of the other 4 are indica phenos (not sure of one)
it might be overferting, but I can't figure which element would be responsible here, as this doesn't look like typical overnitrification (where the leaf-tips turn up and the edges curl up)
Thanks, for your input
(BTW my name and location are not coordinated, merely part of maintaining El Cabong's super-secret identity )
Hey LC most of my VBS didn't look all that healthy early on, but seem to bring it all together once i started flowering them. I wouldn't worry too much as long as the new growth looks healthy.
my friend jaws. I honestly can't tell ya which pheno revesed 'late' since 1 of the green 1s & both of the purp 1s had a few beens per. On a more positive note i have clones of each pheno near maturity now & have yet to find any nanrs'....course the way thinks are packed at that spot i can't really analyize too well...still these are going to be 3z/per 'lil bushes' ...no bonzis this time
Y'know 3LD, I think I remember reading somewhere that some strains occasionally have twisty leaves, but for no reason. I flushed her tonight..see if that does anything.
hello 3leg
no problem bro, i will just have to check EACH one a few times a WEEK ohhhh the pain the pain hahaha just kidding thats something i do every day any ways, just can't stay out of the clozit it smell fantastic in there...........
thank's my friend
