Vertical/BareBulb/1000w/PassiveHydro

you could easily expand the system dude.. 12 inches from your bulb is crazy.... i run vertical bare bulbs and sometime my plants are within 12" but not for long... with my system im getting 2lbs dry from each 1k... check out my grows if you want, you could easily open up that circle of plants add more and youd harvest more... switch to 1 600w and youll harvest just the same im sure. probly even the same with a 400w.. just my opinion... but i see alot of overkill and not enough of a harvest..

beautiful plants and beautiful bud but id love to see you getting more .. take care

:jump:That stuff looks nice, I like quality of quantity! Neat approach. ! I would add that a few of my friends are space nazis, and leave stuff out at 24" :dance013:They do great, but I think that if you want the monsters its gotta be close.

I did 13 plants last time and yielded less with the same veg time. i couldn't get the plants close enough with 13 plants.

So far I have more bud at 41 days than i did when i finished last time. Last time I got around 600grams.

its not about how many plants you have. i guess it is a little.. but there is more too it than that.

its about getting your plants as close to the light as possible.. and that entire screen needs to be filled with bud locations.

this is done by finding the right amount of plants and the right amount of veg time.

that is what im trying to do here.

12 inches for the screen is mostly perfect.. it keeps most of the bud sites at 10 inches. i have done the test myself. any closer and the plants will start to tell you that they dont want anymore light. the leaves will start to make a "canoe" shape. that is them telling me they are trying to reduce the surface area for photosynthesis. at 9 inches the plants will show they had enough.

my problem with the 12 inch screen is that my buds are getting more than 2 inches thick and so there are about 2 bud locations that are 9 inches. most of the other bud locations are half way into the screen and half way sticking out.

so to me its about getting all the bud sites right at 12 inches.. completely covering the screen.

if you read the light chart that is all over this forum and many others, it shows that 10 inches is perfect.

I dont see how increasing plant numbers is going to have a better effect on yeild. already tried that and I lost yield. my pots are too big to get them close enough. last time they were all at about 14 to 16 inches from the light and they could have had much more light.

I also dont want to go with smaller pots.. i like the buckets i am using.

but yeah im sure 13 inches would be fine and adding another plant would decrease veg time.. but i just like to keep simple.. 10 plants.. 10 inches.. easy nute system.. everything is nice and easy. I think i do need to pull that screen back an inch next time. it would help. I am not having any major issues now, but I still have 2 bud sites that could be more happy. I will find the sweet spot eventually. I am hoping I get at least 700 grams this time.

also, I dont want to add another light.. I dont want to grow anymore than 2 pounds ever. I am happy with the numbers that i get.

they only had 20 days of veg. This strain gets tall pretty fast, though.

Thanks for the criticism. I appreciate everyone's opinions.
