Veggin' Chronic

Hey Harley - First of all, don't be too shy about watering with a higher PH as the Fox Farms Ocean Forest tends to get REAL acidic fairly quickly. I was growing in two parts Ocean Forest to one part Fox Farm's Light Warrior (has the mychorrizal fungi in it) and was watering with 6.2-6.5 PH waterings. Well, about two weeks into flower, I tested the runoff that came out of the bottom of the pots and it ranged between 4.8-5.2!! :yoinks: I had to water with 7.2 just to get the runoff near 6.0! Might check your runoff to see how it registers. Other than that, it looks outstanding!!

By the way, since your such a Stevie Ray fanatic, I have lived in the Dallas area all my life. When I was 15 years old, I played in a band called Lightning that gigged all over the country. Our guitarist, a guy named Rocky Athas, went to Kimball High School in Oak Cliff with Stevie's big brother Jimmie. They were all 5-10 years older than I was. Anyhow, a lot of bands spawned out of the Oak Cliff area including Jimmie's band The Fabulous Thunderbirds. We all used to play at this one club in Dallas called Sneaky Pete's (been closed for years now) and on Sunday nights they would have an open jam. All the bands would show up and we'd all jam together. Well, one night I was on drums and Rocky and Jimmie, along with this other guy, were onstage playing guitar. After that set, I went with Rocky to the bar to get something to drink and Rocky turned to introduce me to the OTHER guy that had been jamming with us as Jimmie's little brother, Stevie. It didn't mean shit for several years as Stevie wasn't all that at the time. Still to this day, most of the people in the know feel that Jimmie was always the better player than Stevie. Nonetheless, Stevie went on to have a much more recognizable career than did Jimmie. Sadly, he was taken from us all too young but, like so many others who died early, his legend has been a bit "overblown" IMHO.

If you like that type of music (I'm more of a hard rocker myself), then you should treat yourself to Andy Timmons. He hails from Indiana originally but has lived in the Dallas area for years now. In my opinion, there is no comparison between Andy and Stevie (I know, I know, you're probably dying right now LOL) but Andy got it all over him. The technical prowess that he "attacks" the guitar with is truly bordering on the unprecedented. Andy has played with some of the finest musicians in the world including the likes of: Joe Satriani, Steve Vai, Simon Phillips and many, many others. He is so highly respected in the industry that Olivia Newton John (don't laugh, he makes a shit load on the gig) recruited him to be her musical director to handle all her arrangments and conduct her orchestra. He does this all while playing guitar for her as well. The guy is just fucking stupid on guitar. It's just simply amazing. As a classically trained musician at the University of Miami, he has forgotten more about music than most musicians ever knew to begin with.

I have had the honor of playing with both of these fine musicians but I have to say that the brightest moment in my musical career was when I shared the stage with, and got to jam with, Andy Timmons. Check him out. You won't be disappointed.

Lookin good harley, i like fast strains and i think Chronic is roughly a 60 day strain. Ive had some longer flowering strains and its just not for me, its like watchin' paint dry.

Lights out right now. New photos in the AM. I know why everyone says you should grow first in soil. There is so much to learn. Having some nute...maybe water ph probs right now. Switched to Pure Bend Pro flower fert about the same time I went to high ph rainwater. Guilty of being a little lazy on the ph down. Figured if it falls from the sky, it should be okay. WRONG!! Back on the distilled water with calmag additive 1/2 strength and pure blend 1/2 strength. We'll see what happens. Pics in a few hours. Thanks for checkin in Bonz.

No training on my part Mercer. It's the Chronic baby. Here's the photos of the ladies. Can anyone help with this problem? Will foliar feeding help?

hi i have 5 chronic seedlings in hydroponics they are 4weeks old i will flower in another 4 weeks....cheers alza....

hey bro .. not to sound like a smart ass at all but you gonna veg for 2 months before ya flower .. if so i hope you have one tall ass celing ..

most lights won't penatrate but 3 to 4 ft into the canopy,, so the idea is to flower at 12 or so inches .. this will finish plants at about 3 to 4 dt after flower .. but it does depend on the strain .. i myself like to flower at about that hight or smaller .. i can keep my light lower and get better results
