Using CFLS for Veg, gotta quick question

Currently Im using 4 cfls in a red greenery style rubbermaid box to veg out my plants. Right now im using a mixed spectrum of 2x42w 2700k and 2x23w 5000k. Its been about two months now since i started vegging my plants and Id say they're all about 3/4 of a foot tall. My question is whats more important Color Spectrum or Wattage in veg (4x23w 5000k or the same setup?)

generally you want to use the more blue end of the spectrum bulbs for vegging, which would be the 5000ks you have. how far are the plants from the bulbs? they need to be close

how big do you want the plants to be before flowering?

the lights are kept as close as possible, probably an inch or two above the tops. I have about 15 plants in there and would like to get them all as tall as possible (1.5-2ft feasibly) within a 2 month period. Im starting to think I should just buy 4 socket splitters and 6 more 23w 2700k lights. Would this make a big difference in plant growth?

I would try to find some 6500K bulbs if you want to add more light. They will tend to keep your nodes tighter......remember, when you go to flower your plants will stretch maybe 2 or 3 times taller depending on the strain.

Yeah shoot for the Daylight CFLs rated at 6500k ^^^ if you want to add bulbs. The mixed spectrum you have going now is a good thing so don't scrap the reds. I'm vegging some cuts under a similar situation. I have a 4 socket vanity light with alternating Red and Blue CFLs. The plants seem to like it.

yes do not forget about the stretch when you flip to 12/12, they will likely double.
and it doesnt seem to matter which cfls you use, ive got blueish ones and yellowish ones and they all did fine.
