It's a plant much less toxic than a great many other plants that are completely unregulated so hows about we just treat it like a plant.
We dont even regulate growing poppies.

Who are the people making up this UN Drug Control Body or any other UN authority structure. We didn't have the opportunity to vote. There's no representation there.

This may be an effort to further escalate political and social tensions before the next election and Presidential Innaguration next Jan. Looks like a plan to further upset the political situation, divide and conquor. They can go after patriots now.

They're calling us out, saying, fight for your freedom, we want to see what you'll do...

But this isn't the biggest battle we need to pick. There are bigger more important issues we need to fight for liberty, but they want everyone to ignore those.

Compared to alcohol which can kill you, tobacco which is highly addictive and able to be abused.

Its in your face nonsense, but everyone is trained to think this way by the MINDSET of the media.

Cannabis is free to produce, just the growing and labor costs. Big pharma can't compete with it, thats why they have set it up in every way for cannabis reform to fail.

Its been an ongoing culture manipulation based on deceit over almost 100 years. The media is powerful. If its not on TV some people don't think about it. If its on TV it must be true.

Most people can see the truth though the fog of war.

We just don't hold the power anymore except to be able to make purchases. Our representatives are sitting by idle, trying to save themselves.

Well with so many legal states and nations, it seems like maybe the dials will start to turn now. Hopefully the UN will re-evaluate the convention and amend the treaty like they did a few years ago designating cannabis for medical and research purposes only.

I would imagine they aren't going to force all the member nation states of the UN who have adoped legalized cannabis to change their laws back based on the ruling of the UN drug control board.

God is here to help us along the way. Sooner or later, the truth will surface and this will settle out on our side.

“THRIVE has always been known for setting the bar for operational standards and quality cannabis experiences and we are thrilled to be at the forefront of this historic moment in Las Vegas as we continue to revolutionize the cannabis industry,” Mitch Britten, CEO of THRIVE Cannabis Marketplace, said in a press release.

Clark County Commission Chairman Tick Segerblom made history as the first person to make a legal purchase and smoke a joint at the facility at the symbolic time 4:20pm. The lounge also recognized the commissioner by dedicating a signature infused drink, “The Godfather,” in his honor.

“I have been waiting since the 60s for this day: legally smoking marijuana in public,” Segerblom told Marijuana Moment. “Now Las Vegas is on its way to being the ‘New Amsterdam’—the marijuana capital of the world.”

(Disclosure: Segerblom supports Marijuana Moment’s work with a monthly Patreon pledge.)

Christopher LaPorte, managing partner at RESET, a cannabis hospitality company working with THRIVE on the new facility, said that the companies are “beyond excited to have unveiled the first state licensed cannabis lounge in Las Vegas.”

“Our goal is not just to create a space for cannabis enthusiasts, but to create a social hub for our guests,” he said. “With Smoke and Mirrors’ remarkable array of products, we aim to provide an unforgettable experience that will leave a lasting impression.”
