US growers take note of this Supreme Court ruling!

Maybe you could show us a report of all of the Americans that have been locked up as a result of the Patriot Act?
I mean...hell...if we have lost it all to the man, I would suspect a long list.
Show us the list so we can see just how intrusive the PA has been on our lives.

2B honest, I'm not really sure about Americans who have been locked up because of the PA. It just gives the gov't grounds to do anything to anyone no questions asked by justification of their magic word: "terrorism." A true conspiracy theorist would argue that the americans locked up because of the Patriot Act are kept secret, but I'm not gonna go there. The fact is if they say "terrorism" they CAN have a swat team on your ass for no reason. I don't prefess to be some "enlightened one," but it was scary when they signed that thing into law, and it's scary that the gov't still has that power even if they haven't started using it on their own.

The main point of my post (aside from the obvious outrage over the issue), was to spread the word that there REALLY is mercury in the high fructose corn syrup. Check it out:

http://www.usnews.com/blogs/fresh-greens/2009/01/28/mercury-found-in-high-fructose-corn-syrup.html

And this is like a month after the Corn Refiners Association of America was running 30 second TV spots saying "it's not as bad as they say, it's juuuust like sugar." That's a good way to keep the public ignorant i suppose, lace their unhealthy sugar substitute with a neurotoxic poison, and not tell anyone when you find out as a fluke from an investigation over salmonella-tainted peanut butter.

I think it's really pathetic that the Supreme Court, even after having a Neo-Con, hatemongering, war-President for 8 years, would say that this is okay. Illegal search is one of the only balances the people have left in the legal system, it's becoming like a checks party mix. Well, the police shouldn't have searched your car, but YOU shouldn't have had any contraband.

PS: hoosierdaddy, I love your name man. Puns are like my favorite thing in the world.

be careful Jay, every time you try to inform people of something you're bound to bring about those who think that your only telling them things they don't know in order to act like you're smarter than them.

mistakes are bad ,but this adds injury to insult ,this will be my down fall as iwill now be armed all the time

Yeah man you're right. I'm no elitist (or I try to not be). I just thought that the HFCS thing was really out of the blue... I'm not smarter than anyone.

Bottom line: I'll shut up now.

One more Q: what's bad about fluoride in the water? I thought it was good for our teeth.

And it sounds to me like you'd be interested in looking up the vaccines they give to children. The thimerosal that is in those vaccines contain mercury and they've been giving it to children since the 30's. Autism wasn't around before thimerosal was used in vaccines.... hmmmm and could the growing number of cases have anything to do with the fact that they have been doubling the dosage within the last decade. Of course this sounds nothing like a shadow government making moves of desperation to control the human population before they are forced to take militant action... nothing like that at all. Autism is just a coincidence... but just to be safe DON'T GET YOUR CHILDREN VACCINATED!

And don't bother writing your representatives about the dangers of mercury in corn syrup, thimerosal in vaccines, and fluoride in water, they already know.

I apologize for taking things off on a tangent, but as a person who has lived with autism for nearly 50 years I was a little offended. While there is a small camp out there that still believes that autism is caused by vaccinations, the majority of the evidence suggests that it is genetic and I believe they've recently isolated the specific genes involved. Where you land on the spectrum is greatly influenced by environmental factors, but autism is not caused by them.

Autism is a label for something that has undoubtedly been around as long as we have. Like so many other things it just wasn't studied and categorized until fairly recently but that doesn't mean it suddenly appeared when it got labeled.

Speaking for myself, autism isn't an all bad thing. While it makes life in the external world extremely difficult if not impossible, what we are able to do in our internal world more than makes up for it.

Beyond that... life kills. For some it's quick and merciful, but for most of us it's a long slow painful death from the moment we're born. Instead of trying to avoid things that may or may not even happen, why not figure out what you're doing here and why, and make the best of what IS happening.

I guess in a way the last part is kind of my feeling on the OP, it simply doesn't matter what "they" do, it's what you do that counts.

Just my two cents

I apologize if I upset you, I didn't mean to do that. And after this post I am done with all the endgame talk on icmag. I respect you and everything you've said dirtfinger. I was not trying to use autism as a pawn to convince others to point their fingers at 'them'.
I speak from personal experience on this matter. On two separate incidents I have seen a close friends child before and after vaccination and noticed a very immediate change in the child's behavior and later found out that they were diagnosed with autism. It wasn't even until after this that I had been introduced to the vaccination theories. I'm convinced because of what I've seen (even if it is coincidence), and no report with numbers, words, and potential cover-ups can change that. I'm sure you know more about this than I do (%100 serious, I'm not trying to act like I know more than you) and again i'm sorry that you even had to read my post. Out of respect I'll remove it.

Everyone sees what they want out of life, everyone is trying to get the best of it. All I want to do is die knowing that there is a future for man on earth, and if everyone lives for themselves then we will only insure that humanity will never last. Believe me, I would much rather take all the time and money i'm spending (and many would say wasting) stocking up on supplies and ammo and taking survival lessons and training and what not, and spend it on all the things that bring me joy and make my life better and more fun, and help me keep my mind off the global problems that I am contributing to by merely taking part in this modern society of dependence. I'm just too busy focusing on the bigger picture, and even if I accomplish a million great things and live an amazing life, it ain't shit if every single one of us dies. But if I better my chance for survival, then I better humanities chance for survival. My old shrink used to tell me I carry the weight of the world on my shoulders... I do, and all the rest of the bullshit I talk is just me desperately trying to explain why.

I came to this forum to talk about growing cannabis, not to talk a bunch of opinionated bullshit that does nothing but stir up beef... but that seems to be exactly what I've done.:wallbash:

Wow dude, I wasn't expecting that reaction. Everyone has a right to voice their opinion and I was just tossing mine into the mix because it was a subject I actually knew something about.

You don't have to worry about offending me, that's just what inspired me to take the time to post. I offend and get offended all the time and everyone always seems to bounce back from it.

We're all boxed in by our own fears, afraid to do what we want in the here and now because of what might happen or has happened.

With the autism I always have that other "me" inside my head coaching me through things so when I'm preaching here to let all that go and live in the moment I'm really just projecting that voice and hoping I listen to my own advice.

Pretty soon even our greatest fears will fail to keep us boxed in. As that moment approaches, we'll need to figure out what we want to do with our lives so we can start actually living them.

OK that was 3 cents... sorry for derailing the thread.

I'm sure this is what the gov wants u to think, its called propaganda. Even if vaccinations don't cause autism i would never ever get one or give one to a child. People need to open there eyes before we ever see anything change, its not gonna be too hard to heard everyone up when their all so fat from mcdonalds and preoccupied with the latest celeb drama :fsu:

I mean no disrespect, but you are crazy--
Vaccinations have completely eradicated Smallpox and Polio...2 of the biggest killers of the early 20th Century-- That is, in the US, and other places where vaccinations were performed-- I was in Mombasa (Kenya) in the late 70's...and seen lines of polio victims lining the street-- Because they had no vaccinations--
I am not saying that I think our Gov is above giving us something to make us stupid and docile...(They give us alcohol, right?) but to completely turn away from vaccinations is not the way to do it--

You do realize that our government is made up of people right? Many of whom have autistic children or are on the spectrum themselves. Now why would they want to perpetuate something that is affecting themselves as much as their constituents?

The government is interested in governing, making all of society autistic and semi functional in that society would seem rather counter productive to their aims.

Do you know anyone with autism? I gotta laugh when I try to picture myself as the poster boy for a docile, easy to control populace. If you believe what you say is true, then ask the next question... why would they (whoever "they" are) want to make everyone retarded? What's in it for them or for us?

Try to broaden your perspective and ask good questions. Since everyone here dies regardless of how they live their life, what is the point of it all? Do you honestly think it's to avoid anything and everything that might cause us harm? WTF would be the point?

You have to go through hell to get to heaven and the shortest route is straight through the middle. Mankind works in mysterious ways, not everything is as it seems.
