Urine Screen question

Hey guys. Recently I was "randomly" tested. My case manager ordered a urine screen, even though she told me she wouldn't. I'm not on probation, but monitoring for a driving violation years ago. Here's the info., I'm hoping someone could give me their opinion on whether or not I might pass.

- Went months without smoking anything
- Over two to three weeks time I smoked a bowl a day
- One 8th in total
- Potency: Better than "midgrade" but not the most potent
- My last bowl was about 7 days before the test
- I'm 5'10, 190 pounds but in very good shape. I work out constantly, and it's mainly muscle with little fat.

The night before the test I tested positive on a First Check home test. I supplemented creatine and took some multivitamins. In the morning, a few hours before the test I mixed a pack of sure jell with 1 gallon of water. Drank that over about an hour.(I had a reliable source swear by it, although it may just be the dilution) I tested my urine again with a First Check home test. The test was a perfect negative. Went and took the test at the clinic. The urine had color, light yellow, but I don't think the color was off enough to render a dilute result. After the test I went to class, so a couple hours after the test I took another First Check home test which was also a very strong negative. The creatine supplementation is normal for me with my workouts, I also supplement protein. I took 6 multivitamins hoping to help with color. Not sure how that would affect things. I understand nobody can give me a certain answer, but I'm looking for opinions on what chances I have of passing? It's very important.

Thanks

if your creatine level is too high you'll most likely test again happened to me years ago

i just used some1's clean pee

My brother failed a test after not smoking for three weeks and using some pass test stuff, but two guys who worked with him are chronic and smoke heavy they just drank a gallon each and both passed. You should be fine.

well it's too late now obviously but in such an unsure (of your ability to produce clean urine yourself) situation it is far safer to use known clean urine and substitute, although I understand that can be difficult to accomplish in probation testing particularly if you aren't familiar with the way they collect samples.

Your two negative tests bode well for you. They are usually quite accurate ime. With a before and after test showing negative you have a very good chance that the in-between test is also negative.

Samples get tested for specific gravity and if that's too low they confirm dilution by testing creatine levels. Personally I would raise hell if they try and make trouble for you if it comes back diluted. It's going to depend on your probation folks and how they prefer to treat dilutes. Sometimes they'll retest and put you on more frequent tests for a while, many however will attempt to treat it identically to a fail - but as far as I know they have no legal basis for that whatsoever.

How much water/liquid would I have to drink to show up as a dilute on a test? would be the first question out of my mouth. Fact is it does not take an abnormal amount of water, not at all. Also, creatine levels vary greatly between individuals. Someone on a vegan diet for example may routinely have levels low enough to be considered dilute. Someone taking supplements, like gee creatine, for weightlifting could have astronomically high levels routinely. Bottom line is a dilute leaves a lot of room for disputing, but you likely will be under more scrutiny from then on.

I really appreciate the input. Today I called to confirm that some paperwork was received. I was greeted with a very upbeat, happy tone, asked if my screen came back from yesterday, and it isn't in. I'll know next week. Technically speaking, I'm not on probation anymore. I've been off for quite some time, but it's virtually the same. It's still monitoring. I have never had a dirty urine before, and I have been tested plenty of times when on probation and while on monitoring. Once I was asked about the creatinine levels in my urine, but it was only the weightlifting supplement I take. There were never any close calls before. I was always legitimately clean. This one I'm worried about, but there is nothing I can do now. I would have tried substitution, however every time before this time I had someone over my shoulder. It seems now they don't look when you go in the stall, so I really wish I had substituted, but hindsight is 20/20. Today I picked up a different kind of take home test. I'm going to test with that to see where I stand without any kind of dilution. Dilution seems like such a dumb way to get you, because I always drink tons of water daily because I workout a lot. I discharged a handful of times before the test. Didn't load up on any water afterward, and I was still clean hours later. Today my urine doesn't seem to look any different... Anyway, I'll have to face whatever consequences are handed out if it's a positive, but I'm hopeful. Next week I should have the results. I'll update. Thanks again everyone.

I just retested with a quickscreen home test.. It's supposed to be 99.9% accurate. The First Check test is said to be 99.6% accurate I believe. No dilution whatsoever, and the test showed negative. That's at 50 ng/ml... If I remember right, years ago, this particular facility tested down to 30 ng/ml, but I think they were forced to up it to 50 ng/ml... I'm more confident now.. We'll see what happens, and I'll update... Excuse my bumping this thread to the top.. I know it's not of great importance to the community here, but I'm just sweating a little.. I have a lot at stake over something I feel to be way safer than anything else out there. Thanks guys.

The home tests react to a wider variety of metabolites so 50ng/ml is comparable to 25ng/ml on a lab EMIT test and 15ng/ml on a GC/MS

Man if you passed an at home test before and after why are you freaking out so much? Those tests are not lying when they say they are 99% accurate, I have NEVER had one show something different than a lab test does and you now passed THREE of them so there is no way you are dirty. Just relax my man :) IME all of those at home tests I used (and have used them many, many times) are 100% accurate, they just have to say 99.9% because obviously there is a chance that the test was faulty or got contimanted some how but you passed THREE of them....Your fine bro.

drink cranberry juice and tea as both will have you pissing nonstop. workout to sweat out the toxins, take B vitamins (niacin) drink beer as THC bonds to fat, consider sitting in a sauna 2-3 a week for an extended period of time. Buy creatine supplement because you will need to take some since you are diluting sample so that your test doesn't come back inconclusive

Incorrect advice on nearly every count.

Thanks again guys! Not picking favorites here, but I especially appreciate the advice from gupee and powerrobbie. Gupee, you're informative response on metabolites tested in the 50 ng/ml home test vs the metabolites tested in the lab test was extremely encouraging and informative.. Powerrobbie, your advice also set me at ease.... I greatly appreciate it!! No news yet, so I'm hopeful no news is good news. Either way, I'll know for sure by week's end at the latest. Thanks!
