Upsidedown AC Box?

This might be a stupid question,but....can a window AC be turned up-side-down so the the intake is above the outflow vents? I am planning on attaching an AC box to my grow cab and would love to have the air coming through my 600 watt hps go directly into the return/intake of the window AC. Then, in theory, the cooled air would come out just below the glass of the air cooled hood of the 600 watt HPS; keeping my girls nice and cool. Also, the main reason to attaching the AC is because the grow cab is outside in my garage, and that garage is in Texas- HOT!

Any ideas? or thoughts?

Hmmm.... research if condensers can run upside down....

if they can... check to see if the water that condenses on the cold radiator can still move to the back hot radiator and evaporate away... but I'm willing to bet a big NO on that.

A big NO is correct. If you need the top to suck and the bottom to blow youl have to twist some vent up. You cant just turn the unit upside down. Theirs oil in there that needs the unit to be in the proper orientation in order to circulate properly. Im shure theres more reasons like the one Liam pointed out too.

Ya, I didn't think it would work, but thought i'd ask on the off chance that someone who knows more than me had some secret knowledg on the subject
