I ran hydronic heating in mine

looks good ( except the rubbish piled all around lol).

what are you using to heat the water? looks like some sort of wood or coal furnace?

do you have a grow or build log or what ever? id be interested in seeing your heating system in more detail.

theres all kinds of building codes ..I was on a farm and if there was no foundation there was no issues ..considered a temporary structure...yeehaw..I would find a place with a decent barn/outbuilding and make it right inside...yeehaw

hydronic heating using fluid like water it was actually an organic solution ..mess was lots of freaking wood and wood bits...
wood burner or whatever you wanted to throw in...300+ gallons liquid circulating...theres all kinds of info on hydronic heating on the net.. all I will say is plumb in a backup circulator so its redundant...yeehaw..that setup is now all someone else I sold my business a bit back now...it would last overnight in coldest of weather in new England pack fire box full..

Nice to see so much thought in this thread. I appreciate all the advice. To answer a few questions here. I'm just not a fan of outdoor marijuana or the process of it. I've grown up going all the way from closet grows to now wanting to go as big as I can. I think hydro destroys everything else. That's just my opinion, you're entitled to yours.

From going to all the government meetings and grower expos, I think there will be low grade hemp farms and high-end marijuana farms that will be just like the wine industry once we nationally legalize. I'd like to position myself to become a marijuanary ( :D ) when the time comes. In the future I want to combine hydroponics and greenhouses to create my brand of the awesomeness but in the current, there's still enough profit to justify big old school grow rooms for me for the next few years.

Ideally I would like three flowering rooms, one experimental room, a mother room and a drying room.

I had a thought today. What about using mobile offices? You pick up big ones (12x60) for around 10k and they're already pre-wired, pre-plumbed and have HVAC built in.

I like it ^ a lot! Another plus is that being up off the ground you'll be able to add custom plumbing and wiring really easily by just crawling up under. I second that idea

Another aspect why I'm looking for big economical indoor spaces is as another poster mentioned, you get one shot a year at an outdoor cycle. If I was to do an outdoor cycle, I would start it in January and that would take me through October. God bless the people that are into that but I would hate growing like that.

I like that I can bang out new strains every 60-90 days and the biggest thing is I can experiment. If I lose a crop outdoors, that's a game killer for an entire year. If I lose an indoor crop, it's not that big of a deal. Plus having a couple of indoor rooms means quick turn around time, so if I want to do some side-by-side experiments or play with new formulas, I can do so without worrying about fucking it up.

Ideally a few years down the line I would like to have a hybrid farm with grow rooms on cheap power year around and several large greenhouses running hydro spring through fall but that's a few years away. I realize running hydro I will always be more expensive than outdoor but the name of the game is quality and consistency and I feel confident in my abilities in both of those areas with hydro.

Dude yeah! Plus they're pretty much plug and play. I can have them delivered and hooked up ready to go in the same day. I would just have to paint and then sterilize the inside and boom, big mobile grow room with everything. Another plus is I don't think I would have to get permits or dick around with the county to get a few of these put on my land. I'm a completely legal med grower who's eyeing recreational but the less I have to deal with authorities and officials, the better.

The only negative I think would be these things wouldn't add the value to my property that a pole barn or a cool garage or typical grow space would. I don't know if I'd be able to get the value out of them that I put into them when it comes to sell them in a few years but so far these are the most economical things I've found. Having them pre-wired, pre-plumbed with HVAC built in for 10k is ridiculous.

its unlikely that the hvac unit shown is large enough to accomidate a bunch of lighting.
you will likely need additional equipment.

Agreed, many of the job trailers I've been in don't have anything much bigger than a window banger. Another recommendation- depending where you live you prob need to pull permits and have master plumbers / electricians do the tie in to public utilities, def look into this because if you skip that step and down the road they become aware I don't think your gonna appreciate surprise inspections, so def have that figured out before there's 15 hoods up! Also you might need to up-size the electrical panel I can't see those having more than 2 or 3 20 amp circuits.

I harvest 4 outdoor crops a year one long season and 3 light deps so saying you only get one crop a year is false at least for me at least I understand not everyone will be able to do this but if your in a legal state this is possible
