upgrade to a 1000wt HPS beneficial for my set up? or not????

hey maddog, used to have the dual spectrum 1000w boomer goin, now run 2 400s. low ceilin so heat was a major issue for me.

have a basic 400 with crappy bulb that throws the yellow light, and it runs hot. other lamp has the hortilux bulb, and its a whiter color when burnin, and much less heat. so when that basic bulbs gettin old or your gettin to much heat check out the hortilux.

lights have now been on for a bit over 6hrs straight

...funny thing is the room is actually staying a bit cooler then it did with my old set up

guess removing all the fluor. side lights and that ballest and bulb in one box 150hps heat demon has helped more then I thought
and since I'm now getting better air movment over the 1000wt then I did my cheap 400wt with a deep hood


oh and I have 3 different cheap thermometer's at various levels in the room and have been moving them around every couple hrs, testing different areas of the room


guess the real test will be graded in a couple months...after my first full flowering period is done under the new light
