Thats the first time I've ever heard of earwigs damaging cannabis plants, even more reason to squish them on site.
They have never touched my plants but they do have a nasty habit of going up the core of my apples when they are ripe.

I've taken to making plastic cones and lining them with those sticky fly traps to fit around the base of the tree just over the soil, it's not 100% effective but it will catch a good few of them.

Habel, clods that size are an ideal slug evironment. Not too much of a prob atm too dry, but if it turns wet then you should try crushing them gently with your foot, & smooth over. Cracks & clods hide the sods. All the best.

ive tried a slightly different direction of sowing with the tip facing down... a few of my gg2 didnt make it, no biggie ive got 33 left they got tangled up and burnt up all there yang before the sun could charge them with chi.

My water bucket method worked out well, some of those buckets must be 50 litres? and are buried down a couple of foot, keeps them cool. They definatley need a fine net to stop debris from falling in and the mosquito from laying eggs... my plan wasnt to breed those little fukers lol a teaspoon of hydrogen peroxide per gallon will help keep things oxygen rich....

the plot has gone weed crazy! which will be good camo & wildlife but i think ive found bindweed there? no problem as long as i visit every few weeks or so and keep it trimmed back.

A baby gg2 i wont use this seed starter/protector again, what seemed like a good idea has worked out pretty shit. The plants get leggy from lack of direct light and its pretty much wind proof so they dont get the breezey workout = even more leggyness. This poly netting may work good for other veg but not for our

33/36 gg2 up and looking happy.... 2 did that crazy snake dance with the tap root and didnt want to stand up, my sowing fault?... The other i think a starling crushed it, bastard lol. Lets hope they dont mind the root trainers? if it works out? ill use this method again for sure, look how many you can get in that small space. Ill be careful to not let them get root bound, just incase it triggers early flowering?

Hey everyone!

Yeah i kind of totally vanished at the end of last years season. I was just 'too stoned to post' quite frankly! Plus i was a bit downhearted because about half of my crop didn't dry well at all and i even ended up throwing away a few ounces which because of the bad drying became sour and bitter and just really bad tasting! But heck, i harvested about a pound of bud from my 4 friesan dews so i was still a happy man.

Nice to see a few growing the friesian dews this year ... i wish you all well! Here's a pic of a couple from last year
Frisian_Dew_29092010_22_.jpg

Now this year i wasn't planning a grow due to all my moving around from place to place, but had this compulsive urge last week to buy some seeds so i picked up some feminised seeds from femaleseeds.nl ... 4x Easy Sativa (i heard good things about this last year) and 10x Maroc (because i'd bought the last of the easy sativa already and it was all they had left in stock... my local seed vendor that is, not femaleseeds.nl themselves). So a late start for me ... i'll try and germ them over the next few days.
:)

Just been to check on 2 of my sites.

Site 1: has 3 Danish gold and 3 Hashplant 2
All are looking ok, a few insects here and there but have sprayed them to keep at bay. One of the danish golds im 94% certain is a male, so will look to replace it! i also cleared room for 3-4 more plants next weekend when i do my next plant-out. here is a pic of overview, and the next is the best plant on the site, HP2.

Site 2: 9 plants here, 5 HP2 and 4 DG, however when i got there one of the danish golds was dead, completly withered up, not sure wat happened there!? was fine 2 weeks ago! and another early showing male(3rd pic) so down to 2 DG and this site :( 1 of which has been attacked by what looks like caterpilar (see pic) so gave a good spraying. One of the hp2 also was being eating, and i found a catterpillar on it and had much joy from squishing the little bugger! other pic is of best plant on site, HP2 again!

Mighty freeze x danish passion, a loner indica sweetie

5 Golden grapefruits taking off, just had a nice shower. Nice vigor.... one has a ducksfoot like leaf

5 Rocket of teheran and 3 super 07 white, the good lord whispers to me, these will bear fruits of delightful splendour nice vigor

Tray of gg2 touch leggy? no biggie, reminder, give them nice sun in the first couple of weeks. They have had a light foliar tea of horsetail (high silica) to make them stand up tall and strong. The plants now have a slight glassy feel, this has good anti mold qualities btw. Ill be spraying once every week of the plants live's :blowbubbles:

Another Irish grower here, there's some really nice grows under way. I hope we get some decent weather now for the summer

Ive got 14 Frisian Dew on the go, I grew it last year and even though I pulled everything about 2 weeks early due to increasing bad weather I was happy with the results. There was minimal mold and a decent smoke. Im pretty sure the THC content is really low, like 5-6 percent but it was still a hell of a lot nicer than the commercial crap going around.

This year ive put alot more work into my site so im hoping its gonna pay off, although its kinda up to the big hps in the sky. Ill be visiting the spot tomorrow so ill try get a few pics

I cut all the top colas of my fresian dews on the last day of sept, ...went back for the rest a week later and everything had moulded up. Like Ireland, Pembrokeshire is pretty damp ... so it's kinda risky from that time on

heres a pic of my plants i got going out at sometime this weekend. On the left is 6 papaya, some of these started with dark twisted mutant leaves, and i swear they had thc on them! only the 1st single leaves tho. theres 1 nice indica one, a few mixed and a couple more sativa side i think, also 1 runt but i have a space for it.

On the right is 10 of sams sk1 / haze x mixed. Theres 1 that stands out from the rest really hope its a female, (bottom right) also have the danish gold and hasplant this side to. There is some yellowing as they are a bit root bound now but they will soon be let free!

hey guys

hey guys

Sorry its been so long since i posted...

Its been a tough time but long story short i have given up growing and smoking due to health issues and haven't been with a computer for some time.

I'll be back during the week to PM friends to see how you all are. Its a shame as i really enjoyed growing and i think i had a green thumb but all good things must come to an end. I'm now growing loads of legal stuff instead which is fun :D

I did have a good run tho as i started in 2001 so thats 10 years. I certainly miss the thread and all the peeps that i've met along the way over all the cannabis boards starting with Overgrow...

Peace all, TPS :)
