3 days off

3 days off

I just finished working 3 days on. 3, over 12 hour days out in the cold, with a cold.
Now its three days off.

I stopped by the grocery store tonight and picked up some chicken Breasts, and thighs. I also got a couple pounds of button mushrooms, and some shallots, and leeks, Im going to fire up the slow cooker tomorrow and everything is going in there along with a bottle of great Sauvignon Blanc from Beaulieu Vineyards (BV).
I plan of doing an 8 hour low temp process.

I rolled a jay of 70/30 GG4/OGMango and took a hit, and was gone.Took one hit. I set it down. I really meant to smoke this joint at least halfway down. Im getting ready to spark it again, and the same thing will happen. I will immediatly space out, set it down and let it go out.

Looks great Lotus !!! :tiphat:

theres a question I gotta ask ..... why do guys use chow mix ??? what good is the hydroton in a coco medium ??? whats it do for it .... besides makin it a bitch to clean up after a harvest .

Mister_D said it perfectly in another thread Dans.."Any method of adding more air capacity to the root zone will increase growth rates. Perlite, hydrotron, coco crutons, etc all accomplish this. Even just watering more times per day with straight coco will accomplish this. All about adding more/fresh o2 to your root enviroment. Same principal as any hydro system."

I personally, just toss the root ball after im done and dont reuse any of it. Im not sure about you guys but the root balls once im done are like hockey pucks and youd literally need a saw to cut into it so i just toss and use fresh mix each time....but i probably do 70%coco/30% hydroton which is different than most

I hear ya WL , but its just not needed with coco . its holds the perfect amount of water & disperses the rest , if you feed it daily it gets fresh o2 daily . i could see using a little perilite in the bottoms of the pots to help with drainage & if it has to set in the runoof for any length of time it'll not wick up the water like straight coco does . but i just never saw the need to add the clay balls to the pots .... & especially if your trying to reuse them . throwing them out like you do has to get expensive ... no ???
just try a pot of straight coco once ..... i'll bet you see no difference & you'll save yourself a few bucks too !!! :)

hey on a side note ..... if your into classic rock ..... joe bonnamassa is playing in Reno on sunday .... the show was originally saturday but they changed cuz of the weather . you might want to check him out ..... He's probably one of the best guitar players i've ever seen !!! & i've seen QUITE A FEW !!! seriously .... check it out :)

Ill have to give it a whirl and see Dans. Ive always had a big bad of perlite and hydroton just sitting around so i decided to give it a whirl. maybe next time ill just do coco in 2 and chow mix in the other 2 and see if theres any difference....im currently watering 3x a day for 3 mins at a time and they're absolutely loving it!

Not much of a classic rock guy, but maybe ill have to check him out. I can see why the show got postponed....woke up to another 4 inches in the backyard

well,if you happen to have a bike problem going to a trek test ride event is not a good thing to do....
got on a trek domane 5.2...

jeebus! i needed a wet nap to clean up after a quick 5 miles on it!! makes my road bike look like a lead paperweight! i suppose thats to be expected since it cost more than my 3 bikes combined!

lol, wish i had never done that, now i hate all my bikes and they're stupid and poopy faced!

maybe next year....

:chin: thank god they didnt have a madone in my size there...
im actually very happy with the current line up...the ogre is just perfect as a day to day bike,it would be hard to find a more versatile platform,it can go from a capable mountain bike to being a full on touring rig trailer hauling machine just by bolting some racks on...soon enough i will have a bill trailer and that will allow me to haul 99% of the stuff i need...
and the camber is great fun...really makes mountain biking exciting...the surly is good at plodding along many many places the camber cant ride in,but that suspension really allows you to go for it...
and even the alpha 1.2 is a fine bike for me,im not a pure roadie and i dont put in enough saddle time on the road bike to merit anything like that...maybe in a years time when i may be pushing out 10-15 hours a week of dedicated road riding sure,if im cutting sub 1 hour 20's on a regular basis, you bet,it would be worth it...

now,not so much,i seem to have assembled a set of bikes right for my skill level...
