those pkrxthy should be named 60deg north + cross of the decade.

love the pics suomi-prkl, any issues with mold? I can see some dying leaf on one of those pole-phenos...oh how I love a good pole pheno plant :)

keep up the good work

hey puff, the short pheno is a mold magnet and yep she was like 75% lost.

BUT the taller phenos seem to be pretty resistant, the main tops were 95% ok. :)

Quote Puffster in thread; large and heavy autoflowering strains:

"word up offthehook....the work finnish breeders do are not valued enough around here or in the scene in general"

Not to stirr up trouble Puffster, But I'm still not getting you here.

Ok, bit rot here and there still in S-P's buds, but I understood he and BT also are doing some seedruns too and with every year passing by they are in the process of creating some masters degree stuff out here.

I know you 've got your stuff together Puffster, so this one was a surprise to me.

Please elaborate.

yep, there was mold fo shure. keep in mind though that these we're pretty true guerilla grows as i had to drive close to 500 km to visit these spots, and was able to get to them once in 3 weeks or so.

should've harvested those pkr af x thys a week earlier but it just wasnt possible. harvesting two crops simultaneously in to locations with 400 km from each other, well lets just say it takes some sacrifices. :)

i was very happy though, i testgrow crosses and make seeds in NL 62 and grow the main crops here in 60.

In here I found a half cm thick layer of ice in the rain barrel on the yard, so indeed Thule... game over for this year.

I sure can understand what kind of trouble you've got to go through in order to get your things done S-P :D

I 'm glad to see you're one of those that's concerned with genetics too. :)

My filosofy goes that as soon as we are able to flood this northern hemisphere with genetics that actually work under outdoor or guerilla circumstances, the plants can be grown successfully by every average Joe without the hassle of having to make a complicated grow room first.
Often people are put off by that and it becomes more easy to just have their beer and not bother too much.
My hope is that once ppl find out how easy it is to become succesfull small time growers when having acces to the right genetics... our cannabis scene here up north will flourish like never before.

I sure know how lazy ppl can be and how easy they all wanna get it. That's why I'm all for keeping things as simple as possible so the treshold to join in will become lower.

Keeping things simple all starts off with not having to hassle with wrong or difficult genetics.

These circles of tokers here in FL are all interconnected (cops know this too, goddamnit!) and once a super strain is beeing created it'll find it's way all over the country in no time.

Good is too that here in FL we have kept commerce out of our hobby so far and that's a blessing!

I'm proud of what you Finn have managed to achieve this far, knowing that considering our environmental circumstances the only thing we are about is to produce "honest" and "straightforward" genetics.
(unlike cultures where there is a lot of commerce, advertisement and indoor breeding going on from outdoorstrains that often never were as harshly selected as we have to do in here.)

Also we don't seem to be in a hurry like other (money making) cultures, one year at a time only so we use to refrain from indoor seedruns wich in effect would only slow us down.

What takes longer eventually gets better! can't speed up evolution anyhows.

Only getting more people involved could make a difference imo.

Most of all I like the straight forward "I m just a simple dirt farmer" attitude many of you have, It totally suits my vision and is the right way to get somewhere imho.

Olen erittäin kiitollinen vastauksista koska päätöksenteko on meikällä pelkkää jahkailua! :D

Yep, game over. Will be interesting to see if anything survived. Some spots were half dead in late August.. There's bud for sure but could be molded. No use having stress about it when it's not up to me.

Genetics is my ball game for sure, as it is now I can't tend for my guerilla plants and I'd hope for the plants to survive on their own. There's some custom made stuff cooking in Thule's strain factory and if I have the energy to carry on with the projects (5 years already!) we should have something that can seed itself each year without human assistance in a few years.

I personally hate pre growing and that's the part I wanna skip for good. Sow in november, come back next summer to cull the males and wait for harvest. That's how it needs to happen. Too much to worry about with these old genetics.

I dont like either pre growing outdoor plants and most important thing is getting good genetics that suites in finland and genetics that you Dont have to pre grown plants before putting them outdoors and still getting something good to smoke.

It may take years but so what....i am not quitting this thing for any reason.

And props to everyone that are true with this outdoor thing on going in finland! Maybe ten years later we can remember the good old times :D

Hello to everyone!

Yep, it was yesterday when I ripped last plant. Wery frosty weather here at 65N! No mold, neither frost damage because of frost sheltered spot. Buds were quite small but seed was sown at middle of May and under syringabush, where she needed fight its way up to the light. The plant was earlyflowerin, from random.
No pics sorry.

But the more interesting Peruvian (that I have allready showed while ago) got spidermite attac and was left behinde other plants. It looked like this at middle of August, before its life was taken. (sown at middle of Aprill)
PERUMATURE.jpg
See the littleones it made because of dropped seeds:)
PERU.jpg
If this would have grown under better conditions without pollen and on a bigger pot...:blowbubbles:

It produced couple hundred seeds. When they were mostly picked, the plant slowly started to form new bud and littleones sprouted to the pot. Bud is wery tiny and there is little of resin but still it worked when smoked. This plant didn`t smell at all.

Big hand to every FIN Outdoor grower! Exelent job

I had to chop the GG3 yesterday because of mold -saw a little but while trimming found affected areas that I couldn´t see.

I thought the hybrid was airy enough not to get hit BUT today I found mold on two sidebranches...I´ll cut on Thursday at the latest.

Budi on kyl hartsista mut huh huh mikä trimmaaminen tolla lehtien määrällä.

Mut onneksi siiduja tuli enemmän kuin riittävästi tuosta tuntuu ainakin homeensieto olevan hyvää luokkaa. Mahdollinen sateisien kesien pelastaja :tiphat:
