Can you see the very edge of the leaf has been curled over to make their "nest" and the little spots of what appears to be necrosis, but its where they have been hoovering up the plants juices

Any garden centre should sell it fella, not just grow shops . It's good stuff, after a week they had gone and it leaves behind this clear coating on the leaves to stop the little buggers getting back on.

@souflondon

I thought I had mites recently, when plants presented the same symptoms as yours so I did my checks and there were no mites...Short story try some cal/mag and see what happens.

necrotic spotting does look like cal def... leaf curl/claw looks bit like mag def...

Credit where it's due ;)

My problem was crappy soil, using basic nutes and not giving epsom salts religiously..sorted now, plants are coming down soon!

Peace

I think I've just picked some balls of my bubblegum in back yard. I started to force flower it 2 weeks ago by putting it in a tent with fan running for 12hrs dark. It's got pistils popping out all over. Didn't think I would have to worry about hermies outdoors

I think it will have more to do with the genetics of the plant than the fact your force flowering or Outdoors . I've seen it once before outdoors with a friends grow where the plant went into pre-flower and 2 weeks later it grow balls .
If you have the space you could keep it going and let it seed itself by leaving a few lower balls to seed the popcorn . Never tried it but from what I've read not all the seeds will be hermies

It's bad enough that the fem seeds went hermie,I'm gonna keep it going another week or 2 just to see if anymore pop up and if they do then the he/she will be executed lol I'm already watching a little nub that looks suspect. Can't Risk pollen finding its way indoors

Well if you go messing with the amount of light hours it's no longer the natural outdoor environment the plant has evolved in for millions of years...

I still don't think giving 12hrs forced dark would be enough to turn it hermie. I've always forced early flower to avoid the cold damp in the UK at the end of the natural flowering cycle.

I don't know if I'm just being a little paranoid about the hermie thing as in my last indoors grow I got my first herm ever. I picked them balls looking things off a 4 or 5 days ago,can anyone tell me how long it would take for new balls to pop up if it is a he/she? None as yet,it's a shame if it is because the plants nice and healthy otherwise. Here's a pic

ah man! my attempts at getting some bubblegum to smoke resulted in a hermie too! I have tried to grow hubbabibbasmelloscope, which is an autoflower- it smelled gorgeous but was full blown dual sex, never seen anything like it, needless to say i haven't run it since, still got a few seeds, but im starting to think all bubblegum strains are cursed by hermies :/

I grew out this thseeds bubblegum indoors just before Christmas and all 5 seeds grew into awesome plants, lovely smoke but none had the bubblegum smell or taste. After that result I thought I would buy another pack, the seeds looked different to the first pack. Small and pale this time.

This sounds a bit suspect to me!

I just thought maybe they were seeds from a different plant or something. I don't know how thseeds produce their beans. I never thought nothing of it,I've had small seeds that did excellent and had big dark seeds that were rubbish before. This latest pack was also very slow in veg. If ya go back a couple of pages you can see it at 4 weeks and it was only about 5 or 6 inches tall

The pale bit doesn't sound good though !

I'm trying to stay positive about it,for the past 2 weeks I've put it out in the morning and made sure I'm home 12hrs later to put it back in the dark. I would hate for it to be for nothing

This is the risk one takes with forcing plant's . It takes a lot of dedication to get up early every morning and be home at a certain time to put it indoors again , this is something I don't have so hat off to you mate :tiphat: .

Once again I don't think the plant is stressed by forcing as they grow indoors fine under 12hrs , I think you have just been unlucky with genetics . Pale seeds is a indication of a undeveloped seed that was harvested to early . Could be the reason for the balls and bananas . I should show in the next 7-10 days again . Instead of culling it find it a home outdoors .
