Well, they seem to work! Not as potent as fresher, but still does the job. The flavours are incredibly subdued, and it's not really possible to identify them visually, as they're so faded, but a very smooth, tobacco-like smoke with mild fruity overtones. The darker of the two (which I suspect to be the BD X MPL) is faintly chocolatey, and the lighter ones are almost sherbet-smelling when broken open - citrusy, but 'powdery', if that makes sense? Like perfumed talc, rather than perfume if that's clearer?

Under the scope, all resin glands are intact, and as sparkly as the day they were born...

Tell me about it!! Ojds SSSDH is like that, i had a phat bag of it one xmas with nothin else to smoke, obviously bein the xmas period i was out on the piss a fair bit, i had to hit the sack everytime i smoked. Just plain couldnt handle it...spewing and spinning...Nothin else does or has done that to me...so yeh its not just you lol...Peace

I just found a beautiful Mango from some old posi seeds, had the pack since 97, well, a friend did, Wernard had a 3 for 2 offer and we went halves on 3 packs, I grew the Citral and loved it, and I did the Afghan outdoors and they stank like hell I recall. Turns out he never grew his pack which was Mango, we lost touch for a few years cos we were uni buddies and we live far apart these days, but last time I went to visit he gave me this old pack of seeds and I had to try em from nostalgia at least, and all the Posi stuff I ever grew was great.

Old seeds so only 3 germed, two grew vigourously, one male, one female, cloned the male but some of the cuts I had in a glass of water on a windowsill grew some pistils so I tossed the male. I know DJ Short talks about reverse hermie males being valuable and Elevator Man had some success with his Flo reverse hermie male, but I m always skittish of anything that seems like a hermie. The female stretched a bit for an indica looking plant but the buds were chunky and very greasy to the touch, plenty of resin and really sharp fruity taste/smell. Potency great, really buzzin off Mango QWISO now, heady but mellow, nice body component too, decent yielder, would do well in SCROG cos all the buds are a good size and chunky, even the lowest ones.

That isn't the keeper tho cos the third plant, altho she started off really slow and is a bit of a mutant, has all the qualities of the other female but because she grows oval stems with mad branching at all angles, the yield is huge, fuckin colossal really, and she doesn;t stretch much, grows like broccoli you could say, big, wide flowers.

Clones really easy and I already gave out a couple of cuts, I'll pass this one on to more folks cos it has potential to make our commercial mates a fat wad and I think would be a keeper for headstash for our connoisseur percy grower mates.

I might have found another keeper too, grew a pack of KC Brains White KC and had three crap females that grew tall with no branching and tiny buds, but one nice squat plant that grew a big fat topbud and had loads of resin. The lower buds mature first, a good week to 10 days before the top bud was done, and I was dry so I dried em fast and potency is there, pretty stony, just gotta see how the cured top buds are.

I just put a couple of Africans, a couple of Jamaicans and a couple of Mexicans into flower after only a week veg from seed, big thanks to EM for these rarities, fingers crossed something interesting pops out.

I been shut down for a bit due to life gettin in the way but now I'm rollin again, I'm not really interested in the elites, altho I accepted an OG Kush cut and a special Jack Herer from a mate last week, I'm much more interested in finding some new flavours from seed, and hopefully nothing like the skunks, cheeses, blues aand blue cheeses that dominate the commersh/mainstream scene in the UK these days, not my kind of stuff!

Nice to see some new flavours popping up in this thread instead of just more shots of Cheese, Psychosis, BB Cheese, Blues etc.

PS. EM, I smoked plenty of 2-3 year old bud cos a friend I used to always give a few grams of every crop to and is a smalltime occasional toker used to stash things and forget where he had put em, was often ringing me to tell me he had found a stash and pop round for a smoke. I remember he found some 3 year old zamalhaze that turned the world into a cartoon for like 4 hours, tasted like carrots, smell was low, taste had reduced in intensity but the high was still there for sure, so I reckon as long as it's kept airtight, weed will keep for many years as the THC won't oxidise without oxygen, but the volatile terpenoids, flavenoids and other taste/smell components degrade much faster so old bud is never gonna taste as good, probably around 12 months is the sweetspot for curing, I've cured sats that long a few times and potency and taste are as high as they will ever be at that point, I remember a small jar of colombian gold that accidentally got cured a year cos it got lost in the back of a drawer that had literally 3x the taste of the 3 month cured stuff and potency was higher too, still one of the finest smokes I've enjoyed, but it;s hard to cure stuff for 12 months unless ya grow loads and who wants loads of jars hanging round when it's illegal?

I really like the sharp fruity taste, puffing some now, potency is pretty good and I like the effects, very mellow but not too stony, you can function and do stuff but the day seems to fly by.
